Well not really.
3.5 according to the Observer.
I've heard the real number was 2.22...

You win 12 intrawebs!

sweet, that brings my grand total of intrawebs to...*calculates*
TWELVE!
Only 156,938 to go and you get a free tube!
Or a plastic spider ring. Your choice.

Yeah, this is the same number Boone was reporting, which means it's the usual, incorrect version. IT's also down from previous false reports.
Chris Jericho, Ratings Killer.
Last Week's Raw was down, BTW. 3.1 and 2.9 or less. Be interesting to see what happens with this week's ratings. Up in anticipation?

I'm gonna have to go with the Spider ring, but only if it has to do with wheelchairboundspasticcripples

High 2's, with a couple of shows in the low 3's of late.

Those are the real ratings, though, ones actually from NMR, not the ones the dirt sheets publish.

So Jericho killed the ratings? Told you he sucks.

Naw. All the smarks who were bitching for weeks "WTF WWE WHERE IS JERICHO" Finally stopped watching.

For what it's worth, Jericho will likely have no impact whatsoever.

Well i guess this means there's basically no one who could/would comeback that can spike the ratings.
There's an outside chance next week might increase, but I doubt it

understand that wrestlers themselves do not spike ratings. When a wrestler comes back, sure you may see a spike for a few shows, but if the angles are lacking, it's going to come right back down. If the show is airing great TV and is consistent in doing show, you'll see those numbers spike.

I think the ratings for Monday suck so much because WWE knew that people would watch for Jericho, so half-arsed the show and had fuckin' Bobcore main event.
Mr Regal

I think the ratings mainly suck because, relatively speaking, not that many people like wrestling.

Not that many people like wrestling because it is poorly written and the characters suck. Or at least that is what people think. And as of late, WWE has done very little to change this what with Vince and 'Swog eating up a quarter of the show.

Carlito vs Horswoggle was not a good way to use TV time. People who write wrestling are morons. At what point will someone with power to change it actually realise this?
We'll see what Jericho's impact was when the quarter hour breakdowns come out. If the entire show was up that wouldn't be because of Jericho either because he wasn't the thread of the evening, and the casuals, the majority, probably had no clue he was debuting regardless.

The people with the power to change it got rid of all the writers and hired the current lot, commonly TV writers.
I don't think the writers are morons, so much as asskissers who are working for morons.

Anyone have actual access to QHs?
The most we'll see is a surge in the overrun, because it's technically a new "hour" in all probability.
Anyway, I think it's pointless to argue casuals. At this point, a rating increase would likely be the people who have been recently turned off from wrestling, who would be clued in.

He'll still be a bigger draw than Kevin Nash.

No he won't, ask Kevin Nash. He'll tell you.
Actually, the rating have only occasionally dipped into the 2.X range. They average 3.1-3.4 each week.
Also this weeks rating of 3.5 is the same as last weeks ratings of 3.5.

Seriously though, every couple of months this comes along, and the problem is the ratings don't stack up to the ones listed in the dirt sheets. They're consistently inflated.
Last week's better hour was 3.1. There's no way they charted a 3.5 overall.

No.
Then how are you getting your information directly for Nielsen? Do you work for a television company? Are you a reporter?

I know how to work Google.
Though I am a reporter. I wonder if I could actually sign for that.

Okay, was nitpicking because I thought you needed membership with Nielsen to get info from them. Just ran across the television section now though. >_>
Oh, and saw something about a reporter signup when looking about how to become a member. Didn't really check further than that thought.

Yeah, I wonder if I could bullshit it. I don't really report entertainment shit, but as a freelancer, I technically COULD. So I was kind of wondering.
So yeah. WWE is usually top ten programming. And NMR usually shows the top ten. Even when the top ten doesn't have WWE on it, you can debunk the scores, because they're often higher than top ten programs.
It's funny how that works.
