It'd be nice if they throw in a legends ceremony every so often in
the PPV. Basically,bring them out and get the cheap pop from the
crowd - at least it's acknowledgement. They'll all (most of them)
be in town anyway, so it would be nice to see them on a 5 hour
PPV show.

Dunno really. I just know they are ending the show early. Haven't got a clue what the last thing on the PPV will be for sure after the wrestling.

When they put Pete Rose in the HOF and took Bob Backlund out of it, I stopped caring about it. Shame too because I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully everyone other than the McMahons and Pete Rose will take it seriously though.

WrestleMania XX was a mighty fine show. Set up Cena as the guy by putting him over Big Show and winning the US Title. A tremendous main event that I don’t think anyone expected to get at some point. I still remember the boot spot between Angle and Eddie. Undertaker coming back. Rock and Foley putting over Evolution. Christian and Chris Jericho with Trish turning heel. I was even into Molly and Victoria with the hair stip. It’s unfortunately overshadowed by one of the saddest tragedies in wrestling — Ultimo Dragon tripping over his own cape.

I really didn’t pay much attention to dirt sheets at the time, and don’t know if this has ever been expanded upon, but I was thinking about how The Rock didn’t really want to work with Shawn Michaels. When else would it have really had much of a chance of happening with both men as stars but around here?

I wonder if at some point there was a card that had Rock vs. HBK pencilled in. Maybe Triple H and Benoit as the main event. If Rock nixed working with Michaels, he may have gotten the main event to keep him happy or something, lol. That would have left Orton to work with Foley instead of them all being jammed into a tag match.

I don’t know if that makes sense to people, but I sometimes think about it. Something just felt “weird” about the main event and Benoit moving to Raw.

Thought for sure that the plan was Brock vs. Benoit. I wonder if that could have been the plan before they went with Brock/Goldberg? Or that’s why Benoit moved, to have their cake and eat it too. But Michaels just had to be in the main event because Michaels and Hunter were doing their thing.

Yeah, I guess that makes the most sense. Fascinated by this Mania though.

Sidenote: I've seen a couple recent Backlund interviews and it looked like he's starting to mentally decline which is sad. Bob used to be VERY active on Facebook. He'd answer any question you'd ask and would post on your wall lol. Such a nice guy. I'm glad he was able to put out his fucking amazing book.
