View Full Version : Greatest WrestleMania match?
Vote on it.
I'm going with Owen Hart vs Bret Hart at Mania X myself.

I'm going with Warrior-Hulk since I went totally nuts when Warrior pinned him and still mark out when I watch it today.
But I think Eddie/Kurt might change my vote after next Sunday. I swear, I haven't been so pumped up for a match in a long time then I am with this one. The build is just excellent for the match and it really should be a classic.
Edit: Dammit Rob, where's my vote  OK, Shawn-Bret then.

Hogan/Andre. The match was shit, but from a mark standpoint, it was one of the greatest matches of all time.

I went w/ Savage vs Steamboat.. I mean what a match so many times i watch it i still wonder whos gonna win by the way its goin! For this match to stand the test of time against these others , being just a techinical match no weapons or anything else needed that made the TLC so insane.

I voted for Jericho/HBK, not because I necessarily think it was a better match than any of the rest, but I've never been more into a match than I was with that one. I'm a huge Jericho mark and my girlfriend is a huge HBK mark, so that made things very interesting.

I've got to go with HBK-Bret Iron man match. For me, it's my personal fav and it's what I thought was overall the best match.
Owen-Bret is an extremely close second though.
Shawn Vs Bret at Mania 12.
It's a personal favourite. :)

That was an incredibly hard decision, but I'm going with Steamboat/Savage. All of the others were awesome as well, but this one set the gold standard for modern wrestling.
I'm with the majority; Bret vs. HBK at WMXII.

Rock/Hogan WM X8. being there live made the match. The crowd was awesoeme. Blowing the roof off for the heel Hogan and booing the face Rock out of the building. Man it truely was a match for the ages. Even though it wasn't a technical marvel the match made was still a true classic :y:

Gotta go with rock/hogan. Same reason as Mr. Rock, The best match obviously don't go to be the most technical match. Everyone has a different reason for picking the best WM match.

Since I haven't seen all of the matches, I'm going with Austin/Rock at WM X-7. I was a big fan of both stars, pumped during the match, and I was just pissed when Austin turned heel.

Rocky/Austin is my personal favourite. Just the passion and energy behind that match has rarely (if ever) been matched.
Owen/Bret, Bret/Austin and Jericho/Michaels are honourable mention. Y2J/Michaels may have won it for me if Jericho had gone over like he should of :( Hogan/Rocky for the atmosphere was pretty special as well.
God I can't wait for 'Mania!
