View Full Version : Moves invented in WWF/E
Have any moves been invented while a wrestler has been in the WWE (and on the main roster)? In other words, they were the first to use them.
I don't count something like the 619/West Coast Pop because it's just a combination of two moves.

Hmmm, decent question.
The taker doing his "old skool" is seriously the only thing I can think of. Jeez, that's pretty bad i guess.
Was Brock the first one to use the F5? And did he first do it while in WWE?

Shane O Mac flying across the ring to the far corner kicking a garbage can into the face of his fallen opponent:shifty:
I've only been a fan since '98, so have to ask; Did the DDT get invented in the WWF?
According to a fast Google search Roberts invented it (accidentally) while in an NWA territory.

I don't think Brock did the F5 first, but don't quote me on that....
I THINK Taker might have made the Last Ride

I'm pretty sure the sidewalk slam (the one the big bossman did) was invented in the wwf.

The F5 is not Brocks
Pedigree is a variant of another move.
Backcracker I don't know.

Almost every wrestling move originated in Japan or from the old, old days of pro wrestling.

.
Who's is it? Only other people I know of who use it are Kohei Suwama and Takemura, and I think Brock used it before them.
What Would Kevin Do?

Either Jindrak or O'Haire did it a few times during the INvasion (F5), plus, I'm pretty sure Brock himself said he got it from Japan.
The last Ride is a modified powerbomb, but I'm pretty sure the Undertaker IS the first person to do that modded version
Same ith the Twist of Fate... maybe.
Stunner was made popular first by Mikey Whipwreck in ECW...
Shattered dreams may be WWE original too.
Brainchop, no.
Shelton's T-Bone powerslam I believe is original.
I don't know who made the backstabber/back cracker, but it's been an indy move for awhile (Lung blower, hell, Matt Striker used to do it) and CIMA has been doing it longer than Carlito anyway.

And I;m about 90% sure he did that before when he was in WCCW

See I thought about this but figured Whipwreck stole it from Austin.

And i'm going to say:
The laso from El Paso
and the Haas of pain
And the Brock Lock
All WWE moves I think
What Would Kevin Do?

Brock Lock is not WWE. It was done in Japan way before Brock.
Haas of Pain... Maybe, although it's very similiar to another move, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone already did it.

I really really don't think the People's Elbow or the Worm count, since they're really just an elbow drop and a chop, respectively.
And according to Foley's first book, the Mandible Claw was invented somewhere in the old southern territories (I don't remember which one) by someone who was formerly a dentist.

I mean Rampage has kinda powerbombed people (Arona being the main one that comes to mind), but it always come from someone applying an armbar (or triangle choke) and him just being strong enough to pick them up and slam them..
Not really a powerbomb though..

I believe the move you are thinking of is the Widowmaker used by O'Haire. It wasn't the F5 though. It was basically a reverse FU. He got them up on his shoulders and instead of bringing them over head first onto their back like a fireman's carry, he threw them feet first onto their back.

Nah, this was before he was doing that. This was either they're first appearance in WWE, or when ECW and WCW united (the same show where the ECW faction emerged.) It wasn't the widow maker.
