Read this on the news page:

ECW.com has an article on Shelton Benjamin's move to ECW.

So did they split WGTTagain, or what?

Pushing them? They were the tag team equivalent of Barry Horowitz

I barely watch any wrestling currently. I thought they had been receiving a push.

If you call "on TV jobbing to Hacksaw and Super Crazy" a push, yeah, they were getting a push.

Kane Knight

Wow.

They jobbed to Super Crazy?

Super Crazy was on Raw?

Festus wrestles there sometimes.

Festus is awesome.

The WGTT look like fucking idiots now, so hopefully Shelton will ditch the bleach and Charlie can be wished the best in his future endevears.

They're too good to be separated. WGTT have chemistry, their styles complement each other and when done right they can put out great backstage segments. I'd prefer that they were more of an alliance than a full blown tag team in the sense that they can dominate in the tag division and dominate separately as well in singles.

Maybe they should be in another stable.

LOL, wasn't Shelton one of the guys that everyone was craving to see end up in ECW? Now he's there and people seem underwhelmed. Good job, WWE.

But honestly, this could be a good move. Shelton seems to fit the brand, and a CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin match would be some funly goodness. The World's Greatest Tag Team could have been used much better together. They never really found a stable image, they never really got a push, and they weren't allowed to be the team that they were under Heyman's book. It really should have been The Redneck Wrecking Crew, Paul London & Brian Kendrick and The WGTT saving RAW's tag team division.

My biggest question is where this leaves Charlie Haas? Personally, I want to see him get a push, too. I don't feel he will, but Haas is probably the more gifted of the two wrestlers as far as technical skills go, and he's got a straight guy charisma. He does have charisma, OK, people? He's very likable in the sense that the jock in high school who also got the best grades, all the girls, and wasn't even cock enough to hate was likable. And come on, "APA is Crap" and "Haas is black?" Greatness.

Charlie Haas should be the next WWE Intercontinental Championship. Jeff is obviously getting moved up the card. I think they should have Haas take the title off him, and then call up Johnny Jeter to RAW as a babyface rival. An IC Division of Charlie Haas, Johnny Jeter, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Super Crazy and Val Venis could actually be a lot of fun, if underwhelming on paper. Another option is to have Haas go back under the name "RC Haas," or start calling himself "Hardcore Haas" and trying to re-earn Hardcore Holly's respect, putting him in a feud with Cody Rhodes. I like the IC Title push better, though.

Or, they could have Charlie Haas chase Shelton Benjamin to ECW, pissed off because he got ditched. A Haas vs. Benjamin feud, actually done right, could kick a lot of ass.

Charlie Hass was one of the recent suspended for failure of drug test, right? Might just be my logic, but maybe they're looking to de-push Hass (or make him a full on jobber from the semi one is was already), and push Shelton as they see potential in him. Honestly, they ended up moving John Morrison to ECW to build him up on a smaller show...maybe they're going to do the same with Shelton where they can give him a main event push (so to say) on a show with less people.

I say not a bad idea...it isn't like he was doing much better on Raw at this point with the Cody/Bobcore feud.

ECW is essentially the third hour of Smackdown anyway, so theoretically Shelton could get a shot at the US Title or even World Title.

Theoretically, of course.

Shelton works way better as a babyface. I've always had it in the back of my mind that I want to see an MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin feud. MVP has the whole "I'm a great athlete" thing going on, but Shelton has a very similar deal. With Matt Hardy hurt, MVP needs someone to step up. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin would kick ass. Of course, to turn face, Shelton would need to knock Elijah Burke's arm off his shoulder, so that could push Burke & MVP together. Not a bad move, as Burke and MVP are two of the more entertaining up-and-coming wrestlers the WWE has.

Fuck, have Charlie Haas come to Shelton's defence, and run Elijah Burke & MVP vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team, with Haas just helping out Benjamin because they are still buddies. As Funky said, they would work great as a loose alliance.

Shelton in ECW will be good. Hopefully he'll actually get ring time and a decent push, and work on his mic skills.

They should probably send Haas there too. Or to Smackdown. The two are great together though. I miss the days of WGTT vs Eddie and Chavo. Those 4 worked amazingly well together.

MVP doesn't need to waste time on Shelton, he needs to start going over former World champions (like Rey on SD) and continue moving up the ladder.

Sorry that was slightly off topic.

I can only imagine they gang rap....sorry, had a mild disagreement with Steph.

Cryme Time came along and had ten times the charisma. It's the same reason The Major Brothers should get ditched, because we already have Londrick.

For 'Cryme Tyme had charisma', read 'were a one trick...scratch that, a half-trick pony with ZERO ability in the ring'.

Yeah, they should have Charlie Haas chase Shelton over there, attack him next week, and let Haas & Benjamin go at it for 20 minutes on PPV.

The ECW title matches usually hardly get 10 minutes. Why would they give them 20?

The ECW title matches usually hardly get 10 minutes. Why would they give them 20? And would they really need 20? I like Haas and Benjamin, but I think they could put on the same caliber of match in half the time.

They're better together, though. I mean, I don't really care what show they're on, but they should definitely stick together.

Not to mention, forming and breaking teams up arbitrarily is pretty stupid. Speaking of which, what happened with the Hardyz? Was that just dropped? I know Jeff has a singles "push" going right now, and Matt is feuding with/sharing the TT titles with MVP, but is there any reason they aren't currently together?

The WWE often does have matches which go longer than "main event" title matches, these days. Especially longer than the World Heavyweight Title bouts.

20 minutes may be a bit excessive, but definitely 15. 10 would still be a good match, but it'd still be a little condensed, and feel a little rushed. Especially if you are trying to get some kind of epic rivalry established between both men.

Bah, the belt was way bigger than he was. Wrestlemania 22, he beat Angle and Orton for it apparently. I refuse to watch it, as watching Angle job to Mysterio in any way would be painful. :(

Revisionist history. We all know a young Mexican boy in a mask ran out from the crowd and stole the belt, until King Booker found it months later.

That's a strange tradition in this sport. Remembe when some weird Canadian guy stole it at WMXX? Totally ruined the main event.
