View Full Version : What would cause a bigger riot at WMXX?

Situation #1: Benoit hits a diving headbutt on HBK, only for HHH to break up the pin, Pedigree Benoit, and get the clean pin.
Situation #2: The gongs go off...
the lightning strikes...
*suspense*
...and then Taker's biker theme kicks in and he comes out on a bike, not looking any different compared to when he last came out as a biker.
I vote for Situation #2.

Fans would just be pissed that the American Bad Ass was there and not the dead man.
BUT if Triple H retained... oooooo there'd be a riot. I think that would be pretty funny though, if Triple H retained and then all you see is the MSG crowd charge the ring as the PPV ends. Then you'll turn it to CNN, where they would have coverage on the MSG crowd beheading Triple H.

But yeah Triple H winning would just be funny.

Yeah, HHH wouldn't make it through the night if he retained.

How about a slight alteration of situation 2 where the gong goes off and the lightning strikes and we look up the ramp to see Shane standing there with alligator clips locked onto his balls to remind us that they had a feud a while back and that we should all praise the McMahon family because they're better than us. I'd probably start a riot in my living room with my dog...but then again we all know that I paid for the show just so I'd have an excuse to start the living room riot in the first place.
OMFG if Taker comes out on his bike, there goes at least half the viewers.

I would absolutely die laughing if there really was a riot.
Unfortunately, there won't be. Everyone will be pissed as hell, and boo really loudly, but all that will do is make HHH think he's over as a heel and use that as an excuse to put himself over more. I'm just going to do the only thing that will keep me from throwing my TV out the window, and not order Wrestlemania at all.

The fans in attendence are expecting the Old School Undertaker, so they'd probably riot more towards that. A general good portion of fans either don't know about the backstage politics, or don't care. So only the few that knew and care would do "riot" if he won.

I throught the real riot would be caused when Vince and family only gives the cruiserweight 4 Minutes to work with.....

LOL Triple H wouldn't make it through the night if he retained. STFU  That will only mean that Benoit wins at Backlash in front of his HOME TOWN. big deal
Anyway I voted for Situation # 2. The Deadman MUST return

I think I would go to Stamford and kill Vince McMahon if #2 happens. #1 I've grown accustomed to, sadly enough.
#2... But itd be funny if there was a riot because Triple H wins, and on CNN we see a car chase by all the fans and Triple H ala the OJ situation
Or at the end of the PPV we see Triple H being nailed to Taker's cross by the fans and it goes off JUST before we see Triple H burned... And before we go off, you hear Vince in the production truck saying "Well shit, I knew I should have given it to Benoit, Im outa here, Linda, you take care of Paul"
Ill be pissed if Taker doesnt come out Old School... I wont be very happy the rest of the night, Ill tell you that...

I voted situation #2.
Everyone's expecting the Dead Man.
On the other hand, I don't think many people expect Benoit to win, and people have grown accustomed to HHH's bullshit. They don't like it, but they pretty much expect it.
#1, I will take seeing the Undertaker any way I can.

I vote for #2. If Undertaker doesn't come out as the Deadman, there would probably be a riot. And if it pisses off enough people to the point of leaving, the riot wouldn't be as bad if HHH retains with not as big of a crowd.

Neither because wrestling fans arent a very aggresive audience even though it is a contact "sport"/soap opera. Its made up of old people and kids as the majority. If someone rioted over anything wrestling related I would be the first to shoot the nerve gas into the crowd and go in with my shield and club a'blazin.
Skulls would be cracked.

made up of old people .
By old I meant like 30+.
Not saying 30 is old but you know.
OK OLDER PEOPLE
Love how people always talk about possible riots at wrestling shows when I can't even remember the last time there was anything close to one in the U.S.

The Taker deal would cause a riot, I think people half expect HHH to retain, they'd be pissed, but not like they would for Taker.

if Triple H Looses... every person in the crowd and at home watching on PPV would mark out like there's no tomorrow and you know that's the truth.

Well, wrestling is all about hyperbole. If someone can be "literally broken in half" by a move that not only barely connects but leaves him standing under his own power, you have to expect this exaggeration game to rub off on the fans.

2 for sure. They're hyping the dead man thing so much, that if they bring back the biker, I'm gonna cut someone up.
I say the second. All I wanna see is the dead man bust through the bottom the ring like in the old days, big hat and purple gloves to match.
Corkscrewed
03-08-2004, 12:30 AM
The second. MSG fans are smart. They'll already be subconsciously expecting HHH to win. Kinda like how the Philadelphia Eagles fans subconsciously expect their team to blow it during an NFC Championship game...
