So Hogan and Austin will both appear next week. Any chance of a WM 24 feud starting ? thoughts

I hope about as much chance as the Dolphins winning the Super Bowl this year. :shifty:

I never want to see Hulk Hogan on television again. In fact, I want to see the WWE get someone to legitimately beat the crap out of Hogan for my entertainment.

How many cameos have we seen this year? Have any of them increased ratings? Come on.

meh, i posted this in the raw thread so just quoting it here:

You know, it honestly wouldn't surprise me. Hogan had made the challenge to Stone Cold last time he was in WWE, and if i'm not mistaken, this match was originally supposed to take place at WM23 but Hogan wouldn't show cause Vince wouldn't pay him enough, so Austin ended up the ref for Mcmahon vs Trump. However, sometime in the last year, Austin publicly stated in an interview that he would not want to wrestle hogan because hogan is too old, too slow, and doesn't know how to fall down. Who knows, though. Stranger things have happened.

Edit: Add to it Hogan's potential financial hit coming up with his divorce and his son's legal battle and he may be looking for a little extra income!

lol at Stone Cold calling Hogan too old and slow. When he's not an active wrestler Stone Cold tends to put on 30 or so.

Actually Big Show for a one off could easily happen.

When Vince is about to announce RAW’s biggest superstar ever, Shows music cuts in and he does a promo saying it has to be him, as no one in WWE history is bigger than he is, Queue Kahli, Queue hilarious consequences.

As for Hogan/Austin.

I’ll be honest, I want to see that match. For a few reasons, even though it’s 5 years too late:

It is still THE match that we all wanted to see who was truly the best guy
I want to see who’s more over
I want to see who would actually go over

Plus it’s going to that awkward kind of thing, like when you watch the office, as you know there’s a lot of tension there already, which means that it ‘might’ turn into a shoot if it has too

Can you imagine the heat next week though, if Hogan and Austin are in the ring together? Where is Raw next week BTW?

Rocky doing a 'via studio' promo is possible, can't see him showing up live though.

Will they actually be at the show? I think they could both just tape a promo ahead of time, like Bret Hart. Austin may actually show up. Then again, this is the 15th anniversary so Vince will spend the money having both guys there.

I can't make up my fucking mind. All I know is that neither guy showing up is going to make the show better.

I heard Stephanie say that Vince had "invited" them. I haven't heard for sure that they're going to appear.

As much as I hate Hogan, I would mark out for that match. The match itself wouldn't be a workrate classic, but the atmosphere would be incredible. Also, I think the fans would side with Hogan.

Just watched RAW. The Steph/Vince promo started off like they were going to try for the "Whodunnit" again...

This time, though, Vince is walking to his car, just like the last two times, with all the superstars lined up, gets in the limo (hesitating, again) and out of nowhere.... Big Show flips it over.

They should do a segment with Bret, Austin, Hogan, HBK, HHH and The Rock all together.

And then John Cena comes on the titantron, live via satellite.

CENA: "What about me, guys?"

Austin turns off the Titantron with a remote control.

I really don't think we will ever see Austin v Hogan. Hell, I don't think we'll ever see Austin v Anyone. His neck injury will never see him able to perform at his best in the ring and I don't think he'd want to partake in a half-assed match just for the sake of it.

I reckon the main reason Hogan is appearing is to plug American Gladiators, Vince probably got a cut for allowing that.

The worst thing that could happen for the WWE would be for the crowd to be dead (like they have been recently). Maybe they think with the injection of all these past wrestlers it might wake them up.

Will The Rock appear live? Doubtful - but I live in hope. Will he appear in a pre-recorded promo? Very possible. He did it before Wrestlemania (bad as it was) and I think he does have some loyalty for Vince for allowing him all that time off while he was still under contract to make his movies.

Just found this:
According to the Wrestling Observer, Jimmy Hart is currently trying to persuade Hulk Hogan into coming back for WrestleMania. The thought is that if NBC's American Gladiator is a hit they can use WrestleMania as a tool to cross promote the show. Hogan is confirmed for next week's 15th Anniversary edition of Raw. It appears that his relationship with Vince is improving

From JR's Blog:

The Jericho return has been extremely well done, but I wish the crowd in Ft. Lauderdale had been more vocal. Comparing Jericho and The Rock isn’t comparing apples to apples as Jericho left to write a wrestling book and simply test the entertainment waters while Rock left to start a whole new career. If the Rock were to come back, no I do not think that will ever happen, but he would be welcomed back by the vast majority of the fans with open arms in my opinion.

Soooooo, the Jericho return has been extremely well done. :wtf:

No Rock? :'(

The Rock is now owned by Disney. You won't be seeing him ANYWHERE NEAR wrestling anytime soon.

Rock SHOULD never come back.

I agree, I mean he really has nothing left to do in Wrestling. The one thing I could possibly see is maybe him getting a Clean Victory over Triple H at a Mania, getting a Clean Win over Hogan, One on One with Michaels, or Putting over Cena (yuck.)

Fox

Rock vs. Cena would be the only reason I would want to see him return to wrestling, and it would have to be in the main event of WrestleMania.

Actually, no. Rock may have been great, but he will never be back full time. If they bring him out, job out their biggest star and have him leave again, where does it leave them? With another Hogan situation where someone who used to be HUGE goes over a current big star and it leads no where but a one or two week spike in ratings and a "star" who looks more pathetic than before.

It would be an enormous mistake to have Rock go over Cena.

KYR
12-06-2007, 12:55 AM
Yeah, but CENA?

No seriously I agree.

It will never happen, but I would love for Heel Rock to come back for just a few weeks and feud with the champ (whoever), job, and put them over.

Contrary to what some may believe, I don't like these former prima donas coming back for a "guest" appearance for heaps of $$$ and then WIN.

As much as I would mark out for a Rock return, I would hate for him to win at the expense of a full-timer.
