*Ray "Hercules" Hernandez passed away yesterday apparently
having died in his sleep. Dewey Robertson announced Hercules
Hernandez' death at last night's Hall of Fame Banquet in Buffalo.

No cause of death has been determined at this time.

1Wrestling.com received email early this morning from Richard
Jones of thepainclinic.net telling us about Dewey's announce-
ment at the Hall of Fame Banquet; we have confirmed through
sources close to Hernandez' family that the news is true.

Robertson had tagged with Hernandez early in his career in the
Central States area. Hernandez wrestled for several territories
in the 1980's and also had a run with the WWF where he feuded
with Billy Jack Haynes.

Dam, I'll always remember when he almost pinned the Warrior, but the Warrior got his shoulder up at the last second.

da_king; haven't heard anything as of yet,but I assume that he would
be more than likely in his mid-to-late 40's,possibly early 50's.

That sucks. Rest in Peace.

Though this year's rate is about 20 times better than last year's... still, it's always sad to hear a familiar name pass suddenly and still relatively young.

Wasn't he buried after inuring Shawn Micheals with his chain at SummerSlam 90?
How about the time he lost to Sid in about 20 seconds.

Still though, he was decently entertaining, and from what I've heard a decent guy. RIP.
