So, I finally got an Xbox360 (well, a broken one on e-bay which mircosoft fixed for free and sent back).

Now, the only reason I got this really is to play maddenn against friends over the net.

Now I see this wireless connector is like $100.00, but I also see these things online saying you don't have to buy it.

So, is their an easy/good work around or just drop the $100.00 for the adapter?

(my modem/router is no where near my xbox so I can't just plug it in).

thanks in advance!

Tried with my friends to get his wirelessly working without the connector, we tried loads of things, connecting his laptop to his 360 and picking up the signal was the closest we got, its probably possible but...

well its possible but you might wanna get a really long cable that will stretch from your router to your x box. i didnt really feel like spending $100 on this wireless thing and we already had a long ass ethernet cable so its not really a big deal.
