Glad it's scrapped, should be 12 WWE P.P.V's a year - no more.

I remember back when they first integrated the IYH PPVs into the regular schedule, back in like 1998/99 or so. I thought it was a big mistake then having monthly PPVs, let alone more than 12 per year.

I think that was in 1996. They definitely already had 12 a year by 1998, and I'm pretty sure in 1997.

IYH's were originally only 2 hours and cost less, I guess to test the market for increased PPVs.

Just be glad they aren't throwing you another crappy PPV to waste your money on. Close this thread!

That's part of what made them worth the money, though. I remember picking them up. Then again, in the Attitude Era, I piocked up a lot of the PPVs, period. They were worth the cost simply to see some great shit.

I'm not surprised WWE's cutting back PPVs. I can't imagine there's a market for this many PPVs.

The current WrestleMania price is probably "testing the market" for the next bracket of PPVs. Soon the big four will have the $50 price tag and eventually all 12 will, except Mania which will be $60 at this point.

I say 12 because I'm betting they'll cut back to 12 within 2 years.

I kind of liked the NYR set. That dragon breathing fire was cool.
