View Full Version : So will Ric Flair ever win a match cleanly by pinfall or submission?

... or is his last run destined to look like a major fluke where he can only beat his opponents by interference from someone behind the refs back and by countouts?

Could be just me but I think that is a fairly shitty way to have your last in-ring run end.

He'll probably get one big clean win before he finally loses.

I think he'll have at least 12 or 13 matches from here till WM

I think he'll lose a tag team match possibly but not get pinned, or a triple threat match or something,

anyway, I imagine he'll get "better" and better and finally get a few good clean wins

I was hoping they'd add to the Flair/Hunter match that if Hunter loses he doesn't get into the Royal Rumble, because, even in storylines, Triple H is a Flair mark, but he loves the title more. This would make the match a bit more unpredictable.

I know I shat on the idea, but this could lead to Hunter losing, Flair winning the Rumble and giving Hunter the title shot.

Or they will forget about the angle.

He'll win some matches against midcard guys to make him look stronger. Against most of the big names he'll face, like Umaga and HHH he'll probably keep lucking out and figuring out a way to capitalize for technicality wins.
He'll probably even cheat against some heels, even though he's a face, or pull dirty tricks since he is "the dirtiest player in the game". The crowd will love it.

I also think he'll pull of one big upset against a big name, clean, by a rollup or reversal or something quick and suprising.

With that momentum he'll probably go into Wrestlemania against his opponent and just barely come up short in a full out slobberknocker.

I see HHH getting a finger poke of doom or something. Vince coming down and restarting the match and somehow threatening HHH with his career.

I was just wondering that. Flair only got in some chops and chop blocks last night, unless I am mistaken. I think they kinda blew the Umaga load a bit early, shoulda started with some lower guys but they did the right thing there with the count-out (even you could see it coming a mile away).

Also, his promo on the ramp was great. Really set the tone of the match.

They're probably gonna throw the roster at him. I mean seriously, whats the plan for Friday night. They'll probably throw Henry at him and have Kane help him out.

HHH next monday. You know a Khali match is coming. He'll probably cleanly go over Santino. Snitsky, Cade and Murdoch, all that crap is gonna get thrown his way.

I dunno. I always thought that the appeal of Flair in this particular day in age is that he isn't the man he once was but knows enough tricks of the trade to pull wins out of his ass whichever way possible. Whether by cheating or crafty rule tricks. I like it. Nobody is gonna believe the old fart ruthlessly destroying people. That's retarded.

I agree, he shouldnt destroy anybody. He should however pick up a few clean wins and at least one huge upset. Other than that, he should keep slipping by.

I can see an upset, but a couple of clean wins? No. That defeats the whole purpose of the angle, IMO.

I don't think he will lose at mania, i think he'll win and retire undefeated for however long, It'll be his choice, or something.
