Yeah, so I've decided to "preview" this week from my point of view as to what we should expect heading into the final week before WMXX! I hope to get some feed back with this, as I will preview for you each match (in order as posted on Wrestlemania.com) that has been announced thus far. And now, the preview:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar
Guest Referee: Steve Austin

A match that is guaranteed to a treat for people who wish to see two unstoppable forces get smacked with a Stunner. That's all I see in this match. Expect on RAW that Austin reminds Goldberg about the spear he got before No Way Out and when he said that when the Stunner comes, it won't be a mistake. As for Brock Lesnar, expect just talk on SmackDown, but Goldberg will come from no where with the spear and Jackhammer, just to get some hype.

World Heavyweight Championship- Triple Threat Match
Triple H vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels

Two Kliq Members, one Canadian, Earl Hebner, one ring. Where have we seen this before? Expect some form of Benoit/Michaels vs. Evolution match at RAW, and Benoit and Michaels fight over the pin. All hell breaks loss, and either Benoit or Triple H end the show holding the World Heavyweight Championship. They are saving it for Michaels (did I say that out loud?).

The Dead Will Rise Again
Kane vs. The Undertaker

We all expected it, so get ready for an Undertaker Promo of epic proportions. Imagine all the Undertaker Promos rolled into one bad ass package. Rain, lightining, Undertaker crosses on fire, fog, and bells tolling. Remember the Undertaker video from his Casket Match with Yokozuna? I think they should reuse it, roll a casket out to the ring, and incased inside is a Kane mask. As for Sunday, expect a crusifixion.

WWE Championship
Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle

Next to the Cruiserweight Open, this will be the best match on the card. Two great technical wrestlers in one ring, at a Wrestlemania! God has answered our prayers! This will be a great setup, if they don't have Eddie get arrested again. Kurt promises Eddie a good match, then he beats him down before the end of Smackdown, as simple as that.

Playboy Evening Gown Match
Miss Jackie/Stacy Kiebler vs. Torrie Wilson/Sable

3 words: Fil-ler Match. By starting the show an hour early, WWE said "Shit" and realized that they would need more matches. This will be predictable as hell. Jackie and Kiebler hype the hell out of it, while Sable and Stacy sit on their asses on Smackdown. But we know who will win it...

WWE United States Championship
John Cena vs. Big Show

How predictable is this match? Very. Expect Tazz and Cole to hype this by saying that there is no way Cena will F-U The Big Show. That's what makes this match predictable. Look forward to a really good rap however.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Cruiserweight Open

One of the highlights of the night, curtasy of Smackdown. All Cruiserweights pour into the ring on Smackdown, and the last four standing are Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, and Chavo Guerrero. This is how we set up WrestleMania matches so that you know who will win. Expect Kidman to turn on Mysterio.

Handicap Tag 2-on-3 Match
Rock & Sock Connection vs. Evolution

Rock + Sock = Ratings. Nuff Said.

WWE Womens Championship
Molly vs. Victoria
Stipulation: If Molly loses, she gets shaven bald

Expect Victoria to walk to the ring on RAW with some hair clippers. And expect Molly win. That way, the WWE makes sure you are watching.

Christian vs. Chris Jericho

A ploy to get Jericho on television. Jericho shows up on RAW, only to find out Christian was given the night off.

WWE World Tag Team Championship
Cade and Jindrak vs. La Resistance vs. Booker T/RVD vs. The Dudley Boys or Lance Storm and Val Venis

This will be another good match. Some form of preview with a member from each team in a turmoil of some sort on RAW, with La Resistance or Venis/Storm as the last man standing of a resulting brawl.

This only leaves one title uncontended for. The WWE Tag Team Championships. This will be some sort of tournament that will be decided on Smackdown this week. Expect Rikishi/Scotty 2 Hotty to defend against The World's Greatest Tag Team and the APA in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania.

Actually, as confirmed on Velocity, it will be Rikishi and Scotty vs. APA vs. WGTT vs. Bashams in a 4 way at WM for the titles...

Im hoping that they add on a TLC match for the 4 way World (Raw) Tag Titles... Where the hell are the gimmick matches for Mania... Not one! There should ATLEAST be one so we can have at least one big Holy Shit moment at the Granddaddy of Granddaddy of the All! And no, Im not counting the Playboy match...

Edit: I wouldnt expect it, but I could see Orton dropping the title to Christian or Jericho, so all titles can be on the line...

The holy shit moment will be when Triple H cleanly jobs to Chris Benoit.

None of the matches would be improved with a gimmick, so whats the point? Bumps for the sake of getting a "holy shit" chant only serve to increase the number of injuries.

A TLC in the RAW tag title match or the SD one for that matter would be absolutely horrible.

The only match I could see adding a stip would be Goldberg-Lesnar, which could be made NO-DQ so they can do soem brawling on the outside. But, then again, the match itself should be enough to get it over.

Speaking of which, I have heard that Austin will be at Smackdown this week, I imagine he'll get a Stunner in on Brock, which wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. Since it looks like Lesnar will be taking some time off post-Mania, maybe they should have Lesnar escape the Stunner at Mania, and then have Austin come out on RAW and say whenevr Lesnar shows his face again on TV, he's getting a Stunner. That would explain Lesnar's absense. Then, he could come back in time for Summerslam, get a title shot, and also get a Stunner from Austin in that match, which would set in motion a match for Mania XXI between Austin and Lesnar.

I never said it would IMPROVE anything... I just meant that at the "biggest stage of them all", I would think there would be a big gimmick match... Because Vince isnt all that for pure wrestling as far as I know...

Your thoughts and predictions on the Taker v.s Kane thing seem like they would work and make me and a million other Taker fans jump for joy

I dont see how 'the biggest stage of them all' means you have to have a gimmick match. They could make the Divas Tag Match a Ladder Match, but it wouldn't be any good, it wouldn't make sense for their storyline, so whats the point?

The point of a gimmick match should be to either end a fued (like Steel Cage matches used to be back in the day) or for some other good reason (like say a Ladder Match after a draw in a championship match).

When you throw out gimmicks for no reason they are no longer special, and they have no impact on business. And every decision made in wrestling should in some way be based on business. If it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense.
