lol we posted a thread on this at the EXACT same time KOOS. But I do believe its true because many retailers have the Austin and HHH DVDs for preorder on the exact same dates posted in the newsletter, and a trailer for the Austin DVD is on the RAW DVD.
Looks good.
Interesting that they're developing a Sting DVD when he works for the competition. If it's for real though it's going to be the shit. Been wanting to watch a high quality version of Flair vs. Sting from the last Nitro for awhile, plus it will be good to see some of his TV matches that have been locked away in the vaults for years (Goldberg/Sting, DDP/Sting, etc).
Maybe this is a sign that they're going to start putting the WCW library to good use.

Those two will rock.

They just better not Ultimate Warrior the Randy Savage DVD since Savage is seriously one of my all time favorites.

Lookin forward to the Edge one. As long as they don't include any of his babyface work (as Edge was shit as face but awesome as heel)
I'd like to see them leave it another 2 or 3 years before putting out an Edge set, give him some more time on top first.

Edge has been involved in some great matches. His autobiography was released way too soon into his career, but I think a DVD at this time should be fine

I think the 3 big questions are:
1. Will Rock appear on WWE TV to promote his DVD like they wanted him to do before???
2. Will Sting participate in his DVD????
3. Will Savage participate in his DVD????

Sting is said to have either made a verbal agreement or is close to a new contact with TNA Wrestling. The deal is said to be for one-year and he will work some television tapings and most all pay-per-views.
As we noted last year, there were differences of opinion regarding Sting. TNA President Dixie Carter sees him as a superstar whose name will help them in licensing deals and help make TNA look like a major league promotion. Sting is one of the top paid wrestlers in TNA making close to $500,000 a year. SpikeTV was so strong on signing him, they helped kick in money for his first contract.
TNA hadn’t gone nearly as high for people who arguably would have had more long-term value, saying the Sting price tag wasn’t relevant as a comparison point when it would be brought up due to Spike helping out.
come again?
Still hasn't signed it though which makes my original statement correct

I actually really want to pick up an Edge DVD. If it features some of his stuff with E&C, and his stuff on SmackDown! in 2002, it will be a great DVD, in my opinion.
It's good that the WWE are finally putting their grudge aside and releasing a Randy Savage DVD. I never watched the guy, but he'd make some money for the company. This hopefully means a Hall of Fame induction will be coming for the Macho Man. Many feel that he deserves this.
The most interesting of the bunch is easily the Sting DVD. Is it even a WWE DVD? If so, I find it bizarre that it is being released near the end of the year, roughly when Sting will be free from a TNA contract. In fact, if he hasn't signed with TNA, he might have already agreed to a contract with the WWE. This could be greatness.
Also, the Best of Starrcade sounds awesome, and The Legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin might end up being a "must own" for anyone who has ever been a wrestling fan.

Wouldn't hold your breath 'Noid! I'd guess by the title (MACHO MADNESS) that they'll be 'Warrioring' this one too.

Even if still technically correct, it doesn't particularly make it any more reasonable that WWE would release a DVD dedicated to someone who was the competition both in his WCW days and now in TNA, even if not technically at this moment.

1) No. Rock will be busy promoting actual movies, and you know movies that millions of people will buy not just a 100,000 rasslin' fans or whatever will buy.
2) No. Sting is still under TNA contract, and I believe will be resigning with them. And even if he doesn't, he has said time and time again he will not work for Vince McMahon.
3) No. Just no.
TOVO Fact: Tovo prefers HD DVD to Blu Ray.

I'm not sure participating in this video would really be working for Vince.
If he showed up to promote it, maybe.

1) Dwayne Johnson has moved away from wrestling, true, but I don't think it would be beyond him to return and promote his DVD. It's been under a year since we last saw The Rock, I don't think it would be too bizarre to see him again. Especially when he is relevent this time.
2) No offence, Tovo, but you don't have a clue what Sting is doing. Rumours say he will sign with TNA, but it would not surprise me to see Vince did into the finances a bit and throw millions of dollars Sting's way to get him to appear with the WWE, get inducted into the Hall of Fame, give a speech, promote his DVD, participate in said DVD, and maybe even wrestle a few matches.
I've seen lots of credible people go back on their word. I believe I once read an interview with Ted DiBiase where he said he does not approve of the WWE's programming, but he signed on temporarily as a road agent, and has made televised appearances since.
I think Sting's big problem with the WWE was the lack of morals in their programming? Compare it to TNA, and it actually looks better. It would not shock me to see Sting in a WWE ring at some point.
3) It's quite unlikely Savage will participate in his DVD, I agree. Unless Vince is thinking of the money and not of his personal issues with the man (whatever they may be).
I'm not necessarily saying you are wrong. I'm just playing devil's advocate.

Apparently the Sting and Macho Man DVD's have been canned.
