View Full Version : I'm tired of having my American Gladiator threads moved...

So I'm putting it to a vote. If enough people claim it isn't close enough to wrestling, I'll quit bitching about it.

Alls I'm saying is that it is a bunch of roided up duded and chicks in spandex, with wacky cartoon gimmicks and names fake fighting each other. Sounds like wrestling to me. Plus, Hulk Hogan is there.

Besides it not being wrestling, give me one good reason it should be in the wrestling forum and MMA crap can be?

I don't agree with MMA business being here, either, so my opinion should be pretty straightforward on the matter.

If it's not wrestling--and it's not--then it belongs in a different forum.

Since Hogan is involved, I don't see why not.

If someone similar to Hogan's status (talking former main eventers here) is involved in MMA (IE: Lesnar) I really don't mind it being put here.

If I started a thread about The Scorpion King, it would get moved.

If I started a thread about football, it would get moved.

If I started a thread about boxing, it would get moved.

If I started a thread about martial arts itself, it would probably get moved.

If I started a thread about the Rock, it would get moved.

Har har, but seriously, MMA ≠ wrestling, American Gladiators ≠ wrestling.

Simple math

I think you were just looking for an excuse to use that symbol.

MMA isn't wrestling, and it doesn't belong in the wrestling forum. I used to move those.

American Gladiators isn't wrestling, so I'll move it. But, fair is fair, if enough people want it in here, I'll quit moving them.

It's definitely sports entertainment.

I'm in favor of a weekly gladiators thread here in wrestling.

It'll get lost in the shuffle of casual, and won't be as active or stumbled upon in movies/tv.

I vote Yay.

I find the "entertainment" aspect of the phrase to be debatable in this case.

You're really going to make that argument when comparing it to the current state of wrestling?

Touche.

The answer is clear: No more talking about wrestling in the wrestling forum.

Well, if you're going to be like that, I'll just close the thread now ;)

It's definitely sports entertainment.

And if this was the Sports Entertainment Forum, that would have just won the argument.

...but it's not.

...so it didn't.

:shifty: False alarm, then. It's still okay to talk about wrestling.

It's not Wrestling

Officially, neither is WWE.

The events of today are slowly culminating into something not entirely unlike the end of Donnie Darko.

Just go put it in casual, you douche.

Or sports, if you so prefer.

It clearly doesn't belong here.

I'm actually in favor of this "No WWE in the Wrestling forum" argument.

Or, you know, promotions where they call it "professional wrestling".
