I was listening to the mission impossible 2 soundtrack last night and the theme song by Bizkit was awesome. Just wanted to know their genre. Which category do they fall into...rap or rock? Do linkin park fall into the pop genre? How is death rock related to gothick rock?

Well, I'm physically male, but I identify as a...OH, GENRE confusion.

Thing about genres is, don't get too uptight about them. Unless you actually need your life rigidly defined by categories.

Ask ten people, you'll get at least 3 different answers.

nu-metal

I know a lot of people hate that term but really thats what it is, all you need do is infuse the worst aspects of heavy metal with those of rap, WOO

You know what's an awesome genre?

I'd expect you to make fun of me more for the ska part.

Since, y'know, ska's pretty fucking gay.

Ska's less gay than anything Japanese.

Though I could make fun of you for that....

Maybe the J and the Ska cancel each other out.

They both fall into the "suck" genre.

I'd go with Nu Metal.

I'd go with "Shit," myself.

If not for Wes, I'd write the entire thing off as a total wank.

Oh, right. Most people won't accept that as a genre.

Nu Metal (Though it's a catch all and therefore meaningless genre), crapcore, rapcore, wusscore, and queercore all work.
