I really like Chavo

Something has just always been likable about him, in my opinion. He seems like a nice guy. I think he's way underrated in the ring and on the mic. I like how he's been able to get a chance to work in the main event scene of both SmackDown! and ECW recently.

I'm hoping that Chavo and CM Punk have a great match at the Royal Rumble (assuming it takes place), and that the two shake hands, or something, after the match, and Chavo then turns face to team with Rey Mysterio against The Edge Heads. Rey & Chavo have been great as opponents, but I'm hoping Vickie's heelism brings them together, and they get a good WWE Tag Team Title run. The WWE is a pretty crowded place these days, and they could move some attention down the card.

I'd have Mysterio & Guerrero win the WWE Tag Team Championship from The Edge Heads at No Way Out, and then move onto Chavo & Rey vs. Santino Marella & Carlito in a match for the WWE and World Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XXIV. Carlito would really compliment Rey and Chavo's style well, in my opinion, and Santino would look good in there with all those competent workers. Have Rey & Chavo win, and let them appear on all three brands for a while as Tag Team Champions. Eventually they'd lose one set of belts and settle down, but it'd be fun for a while.

I'm really digging Chavo at the moment. :y:

Don't know if you realise it, but there's a certain myth around these parts of me wanting to give the World Championship to guys I like. :shifty:

Honestly, though, a Tag Team Championship run should not be viewed as punishment. But it is currently below shanking, unfortunately, yes.

I personally liked Chavo better than Eddie. Just a personal preference, there's no real basis for it. Chavo is a good wrestler and all, but I'm sure people can make a case for Eddie being better. The same goes personality-wise. Just always liked Chavo more.

Chavo is a really talented wrestler but he does not deserve to be in the main event of any show, even ecw.
