View Full Version : Honestly, I'd be more interested in a SmackDown! Elimination Chamber

I'm still not big on the whole "dangerous epic match to decide a contender" concept, but really, assuming it does happen, I'd like to see a SmackDown! Chamber. The first four Chambers were RAW-producer, and there was one for ECW. SmackDown! is the only brand to never host one. A big argument is that they don't have the talent, but let's assume that they go with an Edge vs. Batista World Heavyweight Title match at the Rumble:
The Undertaker vs. Kane vs. Finlay vs. Rey Mysterio vs. The Great Khali vs. MVP
In a perfect world, you could even take Khali out of the match and include Chavo Guerrero, or if the rumours about him returning are true, The Big Show. That'd be an...interesting Chamber. Taker has never been in one, but it seems his type of environment. Kane has been in two, I believe, and been solid in both. He can kill some people and make it look great. Rey Mysterio bouncing around a Chamber sounds fun, and Finlay being in one would be high doses of greatness. Khali would be tolerable in the Chamber, but his replacements would be better. MVP could really step up his game in that kind of environment.
A RAW Chamber featuring Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy, Chris Jericho and JBL would be just as good, I suppose, but RAW Chambers always have a "been there, done that" feel to them, in my opinion.
I dunno, just throwing the idea of a SmackDown! Chamber out there.

The idea of a Smackdown elimination chamber would be great. I personally would have Matt Hardy, MVP, Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, Finlay and Mark Henry in it, and have Batista challenge Edge for the title an No Way Out.

I'd love for Matt Hardy to be in it, but I'm not sure if he'd be healthy by then. If so, it'd be a great way to further the MVP/Hardy storyline. :y:
I'd like to see Undertaker, Kane, Big Show, Khali, Big Daddy V & Mark Henry in the match, then play the guessing game of how long the ring could hold out for

is it possible that the Elimination Chamber won't be brand exclusive. Is there a chance that 2 guys from each show could fight for the WM title shot. Its not far fetched for a RAW wrestler who missed out on winning the Rumble to enter the chamber for a second chance to main event WM. Even if this means he will have to move to SD should a SD wrestler win the Rumble.

Yes, in a perfect world of peace and love on Earth, top priority would be Chavo Guerrero would getting a push at the expense of Khali. Especially since you decided to put him alongside Londrick, Val Venis and Doug Basham on your cock a couple days ago in a thread where you stated your appreciation for his new tights :y: Here's to a perfect world

Um, yeah. You do realise that Chavo is currently main eventing on two shows, right? No? Then shut the fuck up.
Also, I didn't put Chavo on my cock, I made a thread that says I enjoy the work he's done in his career, and noticed that he busts out the bright tights while feuding with Rey for some reason. But yeah, seeing as I like a wrestler I must want them on my dick.
Honestly, Jeritron, I like you, but that post of your's was just shit.

I want to see a Smackdown/ECW mixed elimination chamber.
Great Khali Vs Mark Henry Vs Big Daddy Vs Kane Vs Balls Mahoney Vs Festus

Yes, because Chavo "main eventing 2 shows" compares to Jeff Hardy's current status.
Irony is calling my post shit.

And you putting a wrestler on your dick is a figure of speech for you putting them in your usual suspects lineup for fantasy booking threads.
I usually can actually enjoy your booking until you're like, "hell, why not throw Brian Kendrick in there and have him eliminate a few guys" or something like that.
I was fuckin with you about Chavo. But I do mean it when I say "oh please" to him "main eventing".
Chavos a step up from the usual fare, but I still have no desire to see him booked to the title under the delusion that he's main eventing

No, the irony I was referring to was you saying I put Chavo on my dick, and then you put Jeff Hardy on your's.
But anyway, Chavo would be most likely to make it into the match because he's a part of the whole "Edge/Vickie" thing at the moment. If a SmackDown! Chamber is what they go with (and it won't be), then it would make sense for Batista, Taker, Rey and Chavo to all end up in there. The only reason Chavo is not a sure thing, is because of the reason you scoff at him: he is yet to be really established, if that is the intent of his recent pushes on two brands.
Part of the reason of pushing Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder was because a lot of guys didn't feel that Mark Henry & The Great Khali were good enough to be in the main event. If rookies like The Major Brothers can wake up with relative main event roles, then Chavo could theoretically do it, as well.
If Chavo is in the match, he'd probably be the first guy eliminated. In fact, a lot of the time the WWE does like to have a few slightly less credible guys in a match like this. Carlito, Chris Masters, Randy Orton (back before he was even Intercontinental Champion), Hardcore Holly and CM Punk have all been included in Elimination Chambers in the past.
It's probably slightly more likely that the WWE would throw Henry or Khali into the match, but Chavo makes more sense than you give him.

I've wanted Jeff Hardy to go main event since when I was a young mark in like 2000. But yea, I will agree I'm caught up in the hype. Hardly deluded myself about it though. I'm not suggesting him to be in or even win the chamber because I personally like him, but because it makes sense for a variety of reasons
I just think realistically, creatively, and quality wise Jeff Hardy participating in an elimination chamber is far better. Same goes for Raw. It just makes more sense. Like I said, it's mainly because of how thin Smackdowns roster is. It can't fill an elimination chamber without resorting to...garbage like Khali, or illogical picks (given current or forseeable circumstances) like Chavo.
On Raw, assuming that Orton and say..HHH are fueding for the title, you'd still be able to have the elimination chamber consist of Jeff Hardy/HBK/Jericho/Kennedy/JBL/Umaga
You make a good point that I was actually considering while writing my earlier posts, about Test Holly and Masters being in elimination chambers. You're right really. They're not much better than Chavo. Except that in the first twos cases they were tops on their brand, as shitty as that is, and it was exclusive to that brand. At the time Masters was being pushed.
CM Punk and Orton were far more logical picks than Chavo, but yea.
With that being said, that's why I think it's important to have a strong list of guys in this chamber. The last elimination chamber was a catastrophe. They need to restore it's credibility really. The first 2 or 3 elimination chambers were pretty elite. The last 2 were a stretch to say the least.
Also, theres nothing to say it can't be split brand. Just because it's for the shot at the other title doesn't mean it has to be all guys from that show.
It could easily be something like...
Hardy/Jericho/HBK/Kennedy/Batista/Rey

I agree that the Chamber needs to be re-established. I guess credibility is in the eye of the beholder. I think Chavo's series with CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, his experience within the industry and last name lend him far more credibility than Chris Masters. This is coming from someone that sorta liked Masters.
I think the way things are going, we're going to see The Undertaker win the Royal Rumble, and Jeff Hardy win the WWE Championship. They'll tease Jeff Hardy vs. The Undertaker, and a lot of Hardy's face momentum will be ruined because the fans will flock to The Undertaker, but then Taker will choose SmackDown! after all, and Jeff Hardy will be left with a contender decided in the Elimination Chamber.
Triple H will probably get the No Way Out title shot against Hardy, stemming from their Armageddon match, with Triple H asking Hardy if he really thinks he can do it again. This will leave Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy, Chris Jericho, JBL and Umaga for the Elimination Chamber. Given those options, I think the outcome will either be Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels or Triple H vs. Mr. Kennedy (I'm sure I saw rumours of this a while ago) at WrestleMania.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any mention of moving Londrick and Val Venis to Smackdown to participate in said Elimination Chamber.
Maybe have Paul London feud with Edge, saying that Edge once made fun of Brian Kendrick backstage, and London is now sticking up for his friend 2 years later. Then Kendrick could turn on London at No Way Out, prompting a Triple Threat for the World Title at WM24.
Or Val Venis would just come over and squash guys like Mark Henry and Big Daddy V, and end Taker's streak at WM.

I think a smackdown ec would be really good but I don't think they have enough depth to have other matches on the card.

They don't have enough depth of talent to fill an elimination chamber, let alone other matches. But yes, I agree.
I'd like to see a Smackdown only chamber someday, but then again I'd like to see Smackdown with a strong roster and a somewhat even playing field someday as well.

Wow, what a dated reference. Plus, you completely miss the obvious Val Venis obsession reference, and point out that the reason I didn't include him was because I'm a big enough fan of him to actually know he's injured.
So yeah, this is pretty horrible, DarK. Get it together, man.
