View Full Version : Angle in the news...

So I woke up this morning and from the radio I heard:

"Professional wrestler and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt angle..."

...and my mind automatically filled in "Was found dead this morning from a massive anyeurism when all the steroids and painkillers in his body collided with his ego and went supernova..."

...but as it turns out it was actually just "was ordered to stand trial today on a DUI charge stemming from an incident last fall..."

Yeah, how damn sad is it that I automatically assumed that Angle's name on the radio was going to be followed up with news of his death?

Actually how sad is it that we're gonna probably have to hear promos from him in the near future of how he's got Olympic gold, has had a "broken freakin' NECK!", AND a rap sheet?

He's gonna Olympic slam everyone at the trial and then put the judge in the Ankle Lock and make him tap out using the gavel.

Angle is gonna be dead within the next 4 years.

I don't get where the Kurt Angle hate comes from. The man is still one of the best wrestlers in the history of the industry.

Between his DUI charges and the drug testing, I don't know how much longer Angle will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion, though. Fuck, it wouldn't surprise me if we see him back in the WWE by the end of the year.

Although, TNA logic does seem to dictate that criminals get pushed. See: Adam "Pacman" Jones.

Wishful thinking?

Nah, but the guy looked like he was seriously gonna kill himself in the ring. I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised at all.

Saddened, yeah, but not surprised. I mean, he's one of the greatest pro wrestlers today, probably ever, and he's damn entertaining. But let's face it. He's a crazy motherfucker, and probably gonna end up blowing up.

I remember when Kurt Angle was moved to SmackDown! and was made World Heavyweight Champion to fill Batista's role, and at the 2006 Rumble against Mark Henry, he flipped off the second rope, bounced off Mark Henry and landed on his neck. I'm sure Kurt is a little smarter than this, but it honestly looked like he was trying to break his neck...again.

I only think of Wrestlers Deaths when I hear them on the radio or TV news, cause that's usually the only time Wrestlers get national coverage.

KurtAngleMark, you should change your name, if in fact your markness status has been changed.

Should I change my name to Christian Knight then?

Wait, that might come off the wrong way...

And TNA will turn it into an angle.

No, I don't want to jinx MVP by changing my name. If I change it, he'll probably end up getting moved to ECW, busted for steroids, released and then join the Pet Cematery of WWE stars with undead pushes over at TNA.
