Like the title says, do we all agree on the hall of famers? i think i already know the answer for Pete Rose

Jesse "The Body" Ventura :y:
Sgt. Slaughter :y:
Don Muraco :y:
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine :y:
Tito Santana :y:
Bobby "The Brain" Heenan :y:
Superstar Billy Graham :y:
Harley Race :y: (did more in WCW)
Big John Studd :n:
Junkyard Dog :y:
Pete Rose :n:

What you guys think?

It depends what the criteria is.

I would think all former WWE Champions will be inducted (Nooooo that means Sid gets in), and they also seem to be inducting a lot of the early IC champs, which isn't a bad idea. However, I dont think the IC title should mean you get in, afterall in the 90s the IC title became meaningless.

Muraco, Valentine, Steamboat and JYD all seem like fringe choices, but I can see putting them in.

Race, Graham, Slaughter, Heenan, Ventura are all locks IMO.

JYD is an odd choice for the WWE HOF as is Race for that matter, but if they are crediting their career beyond the WWE, then I have no problem with any of the selections.

Rose, asIve said is in as a celbrity, so I agree with that choice as well. Next should be Ueker!

Yeah, I agree with everyone, except Rose. Valentine, Santana, and Muraco were all great I.C. Champs of the 80's. Then you have Slaughter, Superstar, Ventura and Race who were huge names back then. Then you have Studd and Junkyard, who can be seen as a questionable call, but I think they deserve a spot. And of course, the greatest announcer and manager of all-time, The Brain.

By the way, and this is a little off the subject, I think the WWE would play some sort of a long tribute video of ALL WWE(F) Superstars who have passed away. Guys like Adonis, Hercules, Uncle Elmer, Big John Studd, Kerry Von Erich. All these guys should be included as with everyone else. What do you guys think?

HOWEVER,I think that Pete Rose should be the one to host
the awards ceremony, along with "Mean" Gene Okerlund

I agree with everyone except JYD and Rose. Tito Santana certainly deserves to get in. I wanna know where the hell Bob Backlund is though.

I would have liked to have seen Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid inducted but that's possibly next year. They won't induct Sammartino until he comes in and they can't induct Owen Hart until they induct Bret Hart.

I think they all deserve to be there with the exception of Rose.

I say they did a fine job of puttin them all in cept Rose... regardless he is just a celebrity... it was nothin more than a publicity stunt to get the name of WWE posted elsewhere...

What the hell were they thinking of puting Pete Rose in there. To be in the hall of fame means that when someone thinks of wrestling they think of your name. Rose would be the last name I thought of when it came to wrestling.

I think JYD totally deserves to be inducted. He was another
crossover star who brought a lot of attention to the W.W.F.
with lots of TV appearances and the like; not to mention the
fact that he made the W.W.F. LOTS of money through mar-
keting and merchandise. :y:

He's another name that people always associate with wrestling
and still ask about if they've been out of the loop,or mention if
they discuss pro-wrestling.He was supposed to be pushed as a
main event level face, but then Hulk Hogan came along and that
ended that. :(

Are they going to have the ceremony actually during the show or is it some seperate thing we won't see?

I think they plan on having some type of ceremony at Mania as well.

I think they plan on having some type of ceremony at Mania as well.

At the very least they'll probably play a video package from it.

I recall reading that they will all be brought out in the ring for some type of ceremony.

My guess is that they'll run a video package fromt he events on Saturday, and then introduce them all individually. Seems stupid not to have them actually appear at the PPV.

I believe Backlund was invited, but turned it down. That's a shame, he's one of the best out of the above hall of famers.

Strange if that's the case. I thought he was on pretty good terms with the fed.

I read somewhere that Bob was actually dropped from the list for Rose. Any truth to that?
