She is the only other person in my family to like prowrestling and she liked the heels too, just like me. Family legend goes that when Gourgous George was on TV, my dad, aunt, and unlces had to shut up and go in the other room while she watch the rasselin'. Anyhow, I bet it would be a hoot to watch with her now. But no she has to be dead and skeleton by now.

My great Uncle was a wrestling fan to an extent. He would tell me stories about wrestling back in the day. I recall on one thanksgiving, for some reason Smackdown was on tv (wasn't even my doings). And it was during Austins "What" era, and my great uncle found that to be the funniest thing. Rest of night this like 85 year old man was saying WHAT to everyone. He also is dead and a skeleton by now as he died about 2 years and a week ago (died on my b-day so know specifics).

Oddly enough, my grandma liked Gorgeous George as well. Him, and Ted Dibiase.

My dad was a big Von Erich's fan. And also Terry Funk and Cactus Jack.

My grandmother HATED Yokozuna. With a passion.
And loved Hulk Hogan, but always confused his name to be Al McHogan. :?:

"Was" being a correction of the tense you should have used, not an admission you were right, because you weren't.

I said Sorry Carl, geeze. BTW, you seem to be posting a long more recently. What up with that?

I wasn't having a pop, I was just playing along.
I've been pretty much offline for six months until a few weeks ago, plus nowadays for the first time in seven years, I'm both jobless and single. Therefore, a lot of spare time on my hands.

Maybe I'd better change my title to "The Slightly-More-Visible Veteran"?

My great uncle, who is also a pile of bones right now, always thought that Freddie Blassie was a mean sonofa bitch. The thing is a few people from his generation were huge fans, but no one in my parents time are, so I guess in my family it skips a generation, which makes me sad because when I have children <strike>hell will freeze over</strike> they might not be fans.

I thought this thread was about the first few sentences of Jericho's book.
