Official ECW Thread 1/29/08: Watch Chavo Guerrero nap...IN HD!

It is the dawn of a new era in ECW. Chavo Guerrero is the new ECW Champion after defeating CM Punk (with a lot of help from the newest member of his familia, World Heavyweight Champion Edge), in a No Disqualification Match on ECW on Sci Fi.

Tonight, Chavo Guerrero will have a siesta, a celebration befitting a champion. What kind of party will the new ECW kingpin have in the Land of the Extreme? What kind of champion will Chavo be, and what does Punk have to say about all of this?

Last Tuesday night’s Best Body Contest turned into a Divas brawl, as Lena stood by Layla’s side when she attacked the winner, Kelly Kelly. Now that it appears Layla has an ally, how will this affect her former best friend, Kelly Kelly?

ECW’s newest Superstar, Kofi Kingston, is ready to take care of any trouble that comes to paradise on Tuesday nights. He earned an Extremely impressive victory in his first ECW appearance. How will this Jamaican Superstar make his Extreme impact?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on the next ECW on Sci Fi, broadcast in HDTV, Tuesday at 10/9 CT. Also, be sure to catch ECW in its entirety every week on WWE.com, available from Wednesday to the following Monday afternoon.

Super Crazy should join in on the nap and CM Punk should interrupt their nap by coming out in a sombrero while carrying some maracas. Punk will then perform for live crowd by doing a Mexican hat dance.

All of this will top The Rock/Mick Foley's "Rock, This Is Your Life!" segment from years ago in ratings.

Kane defeats Shelton Benjamin via count out
Shelton walks to the top of the ramp, falls down, and is counted out. Kane gets the victory.

Victoria defeats Kelly Kelly
Leyla and Lena come to ringside and sit during the match. Victoria wins after hitting Widow's peak. The three get in the ring and celebrate afterwards.

Tazz is in the ring with Colin Delaney who is almost completely wrapped in bandages and medical tape. We are shown footage of his beat down from The Great Khali last week. Tonight Colin must face WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrison.

After the squash match, Morrison and The Miz proceed to beat up on Colin. Tommy Dreamer comes out and makes the save.

CM Punk defeats Elijah Burke via pinfall
Punk gets the biggest pop of the night. He wins the match with Go To Sleep.

A preview is shown for ECW Champion CM Punk's Fiesta Celebration later tonight.

Kofi Kingston defeats Echo via pinfall
Kingston hits a spinning heel kick to the head for the victory.

ECW General Manager Armando Estrada comes out with a Mexican band. They show a recorded message from World Heavyweight Champion Edge. He is unable to be at the show tonight because he is at the bed side of Vickie Guerrero after the injuries that she sustained from absorbing the 619 from Rey Mysterio at this past Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

CM Punk is disguised as the band's leader. He takes his violin and hits Chavo Guerrero over the head and celebrates with the title as the show goes off the air.
