K I won't lie, I only really started getting into them since I heard 'Shipping Up to Boston' off The Departed soundtrack, although A) I wish I got into them before, B) what matters is I am now.
I have d/l a lot of their stuff, but unfortunately, not liked most of them. I feel as though I am only really into the songs like 'Shipping Up To Boston' and the new single 'The State of Massachussets'....the ones with a decent and unique tune, and lyrics I can actually hear and make out as opposed to their others.
So anyone up for suggesting me songs that sound like those two? or ones that defo are good?
Cheers.

Flogging molly is really a lot better.
Dropkick is good for drinking guiness and is really more of a good live show, still not touching Flogging molly.

Dropkick is rowdier. It's good fighting / drinking / being Irish music. Flogging Molly is pirate music.

That being said, Seven Deadly Sins and Devil's Dance Floor are extremely catchy.

I feel good listening to this shit.
Maybe it has something to do with my family coming from Ireland, I'm all Irish now!
Yeah DKM is pretty popular now that I'm Shipping Up To Boston is played on the radio all the fucking time. Then again I live in New England.
The great thing about them is if you love one song by them, then you love pretty much all of them, with the exception of Do or Die because that album had a different vocalist. I mean that in a good way though.
I'm with KK, Blackout is the best album.

The Kids Are Alright (Cover)
Dirty Water (Cover)
Boys on the Docks
God, I'm drawing a blank. Stupid dizziness.
Flogging molly is really a lot better.
Dropkick is good for drinking guiness and is really more of a good live show, still not touching Flogging molly.

KISS ME I'M SHITFACED
Only good for having Forrest Griffin come out to their music to whoop someone's big fat pimply a-hole.

I prefer The Pogues, who I imagine the Dropkick Murphys were heavily inspired by.
Also The Dubliners have the definitive version of the Seven Deadly Sins for me.

I dunno. When I listen to the Pgues or the Dubliners, it's hardly for the same reason I listen to the Murphys.
