or....
From the same magazine that brought you the "Secret Games of Xbox 360",
XboxWorld 360 has maybe let something slip either by accident or on purpose.
In the section "Next Month" at the back of the magazine there is a picture at the bottom. Its not the white question mark in the middle of the black picture thats interesting, its the text below.
As you can see from the image the text says:
"and a KILLER secret game" it goes on to say "Let's just say, it's a biggie, a reinvention of a CLASSIC"
If you take the words "Killer" and "classic" put the two together what's the first thing that comes to mind?.
As I said in my other news post, this magazine is part of CVG. What did CVG receive off RARE this past christmas?.
Yes that Christmas card with KI3 on the stocking.

It was the third best fighter on the N64 after the original Smash Bros and Fighter's Destiny, but that game was only average, really. Other fighters of the time were much better.
The SNES version and I go way back too, but again, whenever I bust out the old classics it doesn't have the same replayability of games that came out around the same time.

I loved the SNES version, but I just hope if they do do a new one, they wont balls it up.

I wonder how a next-gen KI would play? High numbered polys could recreate the old rendered look easy so visuals aren't an issue (Orchid in high rez  ). The combo specific gameplay could still be fun after some major tweaking to balance and execution. I wouldn't mind it staying in 2D either.

I never played the Nintedo 64 game, but I remember the Super Nintendo version. I was never a pro, and a lot of the association with the characters has left me, but it was a pretty fucking sweet game.
It was very similar in many ways to Mortal Kombat, and it had Rare involved. When you combine the sentiment I hold for Mortal Kombat with the sentiment I hold for Donkey Kong Country, you get a series I can very easily get behind.

Decent game on the SNES, hated the weird combo system, hated it more on the N64.
I think I'd rather see it dead

Or you could not play it while fans get their Ultra Combo on.

Yeah, I've never got that logic.
"If I don't want to play it, fucking nobody should! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

I'm a massive Street Fighter and Tekken fan, but aside from those two i'm a huge mark for this series too, even though the SNES one was the only one I played :o
WTB this so bad on 360.

Consider yourself lucky, the N64 version wasn't great
And really if you're a fan, fine, but its just MY opinion

Your opinion [would] prevent those who liked KI from playing future iterations, being that you "rather see it dead." This puts your opinion in direct clash with those who're down with KI, hence our replies.
So chill with the CAPS; sarcasm is frowned upon and we here at TPdub know all about and respect opinion.
