*RAW opens with Hornswoggle coming to the ring. They are doing Mr. McMahon vs. Hornswoggle first. Finlay comes out to ringside.

Hornswoggle defeats Mr. McMahon via pinfall.
McMahon calls Finlay a coward which prompts Finlay to hit him with the Shillelagh. Hornswoggle nails a tadpole splash off of the top rope onto McMahon, he gets the pinfall.

After the match, they show a backstage segment between Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon tells Regal to get some dismissal papers ready as he is going to fire Finlay for interfering.

*Chris Jericho defeated JBL via pinfall.
Jericho hit his Code Breaker finisher and got the win clean.

After the match, Umaga comes out and gives them both a Samoan Spike.

*They show another backstage segment with Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon says that he has decided against firing Finlay. Instead, he is going to wrestle Hornswoggle in cage on next week's edition of RAW. Note: This will be the RAW after No Way Out.

*Before the next match, the incest angle debuts on television between Katie Lea and Paul Burchill. Burchill basically says that whatever Katie wants, Katie gets.

Paul Burchill defeated Brian Kendrick via pinfall.
Burchill wins with what was thought to be his finisher. According to our correspondent Danny, it looked like an inverted swinging neckbreaker.

*WWE Champion Randy Orton comes out next in street clothes to watch John Cena vs. Mark Henry which is up next.

John Cena defeats Mark Henry.

After the match, John Cena lashes out at WWE Champion Randy Orton who is sitting with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler at the announcer's table. Cena tells Orton that he is 100% healthy.

*Mr. Kennedy comes out to ringside wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Flair comes out later in the segment wearing a tuxedo. Flair tells Kennedy that he will not forfeit their upcoming match at No Way Out. The segment ends with Kennedy kicking Flair in the knee in which Flair sells. According to our correspondent, it looks like a place where a commercial break will be inserted.

*The next match is a singles match between Melina and Maria. Melina is accompanied to the ring by Jillian Hall while Santino Marella is with Maria.

Melina defeated Maria via pinfall.
Jillian Hall kissed Santino, distracting Maria. While Maria was not paying attention, Melina rolled her up for the three count.

After the match Santino gets on the mic and tells Maria that she must choose - it's either Playboy or Santino. He says she has one week decide and gives her a kiss.

*Jeff Hardy defeated Shawn Michaels via pinfall.
This match was given a lot of time. I don't have the exact length but it was long. Lots of near falls as Michaels hit his elbow drop kick twice. Both attempted finishers (Sweet Chin Music & Twist of Fate respectively) but missed. Michaels locked an inverted Figure Four on Hardy but he got to the ropes. Eventually Hardy is able to hit Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb on Michaels. Hardy was able to get the three count in what I am told was a very good match.

This Raw already blows this week's Raw out of the water.

I don't think they were exactly aiming very high with this week's Raw. There were four tag-team matches. Again, the concept of evaluating Snitsky as a viable replacement for Triple H in any wrestling match blows my mind.

If HBK can't get a good match out of a pet rock, I'd be surprised.

A Jeff Hardy who seems to be moving his game to the next level? I might actually tape RAW just to see this match.

Okay, it's offical.
I now see Jeff Hardy as a solid main eventer for a while, and not a flash in the pan who is going to get depushed. I'm calling it now- Within 6 months we'll hear "The winner, and NEW WWE Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Hardy!!!!" At this point Shadow will be covered in pot residue and his own man juice.

lol Vince vs Horny in a cage after No Way Out.

I bet you it's a redux of Austin vs McMahon, and Big Show shows up during it.

Sounds pretty good, but nothing to really make me watch. I do have some points to mention, however:

* Now that Chris Jericho and JBL have had another singles match with a clean resolution, will this mark the end of their feud? I was thinking it may go on to WrestleMania, but there seems no point now. Where does this leave Jericho? The Money in the Bank Ladder Match?

* Why couldn't they just let Burchill use The C4 on Kendrick? Worst case scenario, he's got the Curb Stomp. He's also got the Flying Knee Drop. Why did they need to give him such a generic finisher?

* Cena bores me.

* I want Maria to choose Santino Marella, but then Carlito whispers something into Santino's ear about the money Playboy would generate for them (obviously just wanting Maria to be in Playboy for his own benefit). Santino then says that Maria does not have to choose, and the two continue to be a "happy" couple.

* Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels sounds like a great match. That Jeff Hardy went over clean gives me high hopes that the WWE doesn't want to fuck up with him just yet. I wonder what kind of emergency Triple H had? I'm sure Trips would not let it get in the way of him headlining WrestleMania, but part of me hopes that plans have changed, and that Jeff Hardy might get to make it to the Mania main event after all.

Lack of HHH is both interesting and disturbing

Shocked hardy got a 3 count, good to see they are keeping him strong and they let him close the go home show with a very strong win, I know that doesn’t mean anything with regards to NWO, but it’s still interesting

Even though it’s dumb, I’m enjoying the McMahon stuff, didn’t think this midget thing would last more than a month, it’s been a lot better than I thought it would be

If Cena goes over I’ll be pissed, and I’m one of his biggest supporters, it wouldn’t be because I hate him, it’s because this feud has just flown by too quick and will make Orton look weak

I second this. Triple H is definitely overrated by himself, by the WWE and by a lot of people around here as a performer. I really don't like seeing him on my TV. That being said, for a man as in control of everything as he is, it's very unusual he'd miss a taping. I in no way wish harm upon his family, or anything like that.

No Triple H, strictly speaking from an entertainment standpoint, is good for me, though.

It’s good that everyone else got to showcase themselves, but at the same time you know it’s just going to lead to a HHH coming out after 2 weeks off, getting a slighty bigger reaction than he would off and winning.

I really don’t want Cena or HHH near the Mania main event, but sadly I don’t see it going any other way right now

I do wonder what actually happened with hhh

Whatever the reason, if someone from creative (who's last name isn't McMahon) thinks that Trips winning is a bad choice, they would have a decent reason as he hasn't been there for 2 shows to help with the hard sell for the PPV

Trips had a family emergency
Yeah, right. If you count plotting his 12th title run with Steph & Co. hiding somewhere backstage a “family emergency”...but OF COURSE that’s how HHH would think of it, so that’s how they magically explained away his disappearance from last night’s show.

Couple thoughts about the 2/11 RAW spoilers:

* With Cena winning his match, despite getting RKO'd last night, he did return later in the night to “send a message” with his F-U on Henry, so I’m thinking (yes, hoping even) that there is still a quite good possibility Cena could lose by DQ at No Way Out, and have HHH win the RAW EC to create a potential triple threat WWE title match at WM XXIV.

*Also, a thought on a couple of particularly lovely RAW divas, what with Maria posing for Playboy, instead of automatically having Carlito get her on the rebound, they should have Mickie make her the object of her next “obsession”, just minus the psycho stuff...have Mickie say she just happened across Maria’s pictorial and have her then say how she’s like Maria’s biggest fan or something, and have the two of them hook up. Unlikely, but just a thought.

*Looks like in addition to the cage match on the 2/18 RAW, we can look forward to not having to see Maria as Santino’s arm candy, unless of course they book the whole thing where Maria chooses Playboy over Santino, yet Santino refuses to let her go, and some sort of feud happens over her between Carlito and Santino, leading to a match between the two at either NWO or more likely Mania for Maria’s managerial “services”.

The way they've been pushing Jeff Hardy, with the big win over HBK and getting the fall in the six-man tag, I'm thinking that he actually has a shot of going over.

John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy? Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy? John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy?

If I were Triple H, I'd pull out of the Elimination Chamber, and have his spot filled by someone like Kane. That way, he can deal with this emergency, and while it sounds sleazy, milk it for fan support. When Jeff Jarrett's wife died, it helped the fans accept him more as a human being and less of a TV character.

That way, Jeff Hardy or even Chris Jericho or someone can win, and when Triple H has his shit sorted, he can get in Vince's ear about how he should be in the main event, and then he can say he missed his chance to earn a match, so he gets inserted into the main event.

So, let's talk hypothetically:

John Cena defeats Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at No Way Out, Jeff Hardy wins the Elimination Chamber and Triple H misses out due to his family emergency. The main event is John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy, but Randy Orton wants his rematch, and is added to the WrestleMania main event. Triple H then comes back, says it's not fair that he hasn't had his shot, gets a chance to wrestle Jeff Hardy in a match, defeats him, also gets into the match, and we get a Fatal Fourway for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXIV: John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H

If HHH actually cares, he can pull of a great match. And since he does seem to care at the moment...that fatal fourway actually sounds plausable.

I think it would be a damn good match, actually, even if I'm only interested in like...one guy in the match (that being Jeff Hardy).

I cannot see anyone other than Cena plausably winning that four-way, realistically. It just seems like a way to pad the odds against CEna.

Needs more Triple H. Also Jeff Hardy beating HBK clean? C'mon now. That's just ludicrious. If they're going to build for Flair/HBK at Mania atleast have Shawn and Flair both look strong going in. I will never buy Jeff Hardy as a main eventer. I personally don't mind the Cena/Orton fued. Orton is growing on me. I don't mind seeing Cena win the belt at No Way Out, because atleast we all know that he's doing the job at Mania.
