...Not Head or Al Snow apparently.

He has been released by World Wrestling Entertainment. Anybody care?

What have they used him for in the past four years?
Why not release him?

He's been a trainer in OVW, but seeing as how they canned OVW I guess they decided to can him too.

Sad news. Al was a decent wrestler and a lot more capable than half the current roster. Unfortunately he never took off because, as popular as that Head gimmick made him at first, he was forever burdened with it.

What are you saying  The head gimmick was classic he used it in the 15th aniverary Gimmick I mean um superstar battle royal. Would you rather see him with a Plastic head or with the little dog pepper. :shifty: Dose anyone remember the Kennel from Hell match :nono:

This is sad. Al has been training the young guys that come through OVW for years, and he's occasionally lended his voice to colour commentary for the promotion.

I think he could have been used for something else. You know, moved to Florida to help train guys in FCW? He would also be interesting on-screen. I just hope this is a mutual release, with Snow not wanting to move away from his family (or having to get them to move with him), and that he has a lot of money saved (I think he would), and that he can come back to the WWE whenever he wants.

Al Snow was fucking great.

Uh oh, you used the "half the roster" line. Wait for KK to flip.

I'm kind of sad, but at the same time don't feel he was doing much. :-\

Still sad that he's released and Holly still gets TV time.

I want to go to Holly's school, now.

And I can say that without an ounce of sarcasm.

Wasn't he OVW's "troubleshooter" on screen very recently?

Al Snow could have and should have been a main eventer/world champion at some point. He had everything it takes... just never got the opportunity. :nono:

I want some "We Want Head" chants in the coming weeks.

Stop right there.

I think that is stretching things a tad bit too far.

Al's awesome and has a great mind for the business (recently heard his ROH shoot and it was genius) but he was never world title material.

Agreed. Let's not start treating Snow like a martyr here. He was good, but at the very most, an IC title reign (during the height of his Head popularity) would have been the best he could've got.

Mercury Bullet

If you took TNA now, and the height of Al's popularity, I could see him main-eventing in TNA. But then again, I could also see myself main-eventing in TNA right now.

Al Snow's wife was the first female WWE Hardcore champion

She's also slightly more attractive than I figured Al Snow could get

I certainly would have preferred Snow over Coach as JBL's replacement on SmackDown. He and Cole could make a great back and forth, and Al's level of in-ring experience would give a lot more credibility to the SD commentary. They have that balance on both Raw and ECW -- why not SD? Simply another overlooked goldmine.

Come on, The Coach has been in tons of matches. :shifty:
