View Full Version : Movies so awful that they are great
Give me a list of movies so awful they were great. Preferably shitty movies on the sci-fi channel or cheesy 80's movies in general.

Gingerdead Man - Gary Busey stars as a killer gingerbread man and adlibs the entire script.
Kazaam - Shaq stars as a rapping genie, and almost everything he says in the first half of the movie rhymes. He also tells Salt-N-Pepa "Let's Green Egg and Ham It"
Dollman vs. Demonic Toys - A 12 inch man and a shrunken prostitute square off against killer toys
Mandroid - An android controlled by a guy with electrodes or something takes over Russia or something dumb
Santa Slay - Bill Goldberg stars as Santa who kills people
The Fast and The Furious - Horrible acting, hilarious lines and really bad and obvious product placement. "You can have any brew you want, as long as it's a Corona."
Junior - Arnold is pregnant, come on
The Gate - I haven't seen this yet but I have it on VHS and hear it's amazing
Santa With Muscles - Hulk Hogan hits his head, gets amnesia and thinks he's Santa
Leprechaun: Back To The Hood - The title says it all
Leprechaun in Vegas - The title says it all
Bad Channels - Some alien guy shrinks women so they can play an intergalactic dating game
Remote - Really bad ripoff of Home Alone featuring the fat catcher from Angels In The Outfield and a black kid named Jamal
Going Bananas - Dom DeLuise and a midget dressed as a monkey
No Holds Barred - Hogan vs. Zeus in one of the worst movies ever
Deuce Bigelow: European Gigolo - Yes, I saw it. I mention it for the first scene where mutant dolphins attack the elderly. The rest is obviously forgettable.
Any Ernest movie, though in particular Goes To Jail or Scared Stupid
Killer Klowns From Outer Space - I guess it is supposed to be funny though
Lawnmower Man 2 - Actually, this is just really bad. It's not great at all.
That's all I can think of right now, but yeah, I love watching bad movies.

What??
Drago=ratings
Hell most Arnie/Sly/Chuck/JeanClaude/Segal films are terrible but awesome at the same time
FakeLaser
02-07-2008, 07:46 PM
Yeah come on. Rocky IV is the best. It has Drago, the robot thing, the really gay Apollo/Rocky montage, Bridget Nielsen and plus Rocky beating the Russian ends the fucking Cold War.
Exactly its so awful its great, christ you guys, come on now

02-07-2008, 07:51 PM
I didn't see the part where you said "still maximo entertainment"
Yeah I can see how you'd just not see that seeing as how its all the way on the other side of that sentence

Troll
Troll II (note this "sequel" doesn't actually have anything to do with the first one, better yet it doesn't have a troll in it)
D.C. Cab
Pootie Tang (although I'd argue it isn't awful)
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians
Robot Monster
Any Ed Wood movie
Blacula
Flesh Gordon
Leprechaun 4 In Space
Man With The Screaming Brain (although it was meant to be so awful it is great, did it on purpose)
Pink Flamingos
They Live
Womens Prison Massacre

The man With the Screaming Brain is awesome simply due to Bruce Campbell being awesome..

Pootie Tang doesn't count, either.
My friend who is the biggest bad, B-horror, C-horror movie buff I've ever met, claims that this is the greatest "bad movie" ever made...

Any Childs Play movie.
Oh come on. The first Child's Play was good. I liked the second third and Bride, but not because they were terrible. Maybe for some cheese, and mostly nostalgia, but they're not all that bad.
Seed of Chucky was too bad to even be awesomely bad.

i stand by Childs Play. For myself, who loves horror, i could not stand them, especially after the way the video store raved about them for months, BIG LETDOWN

No Holds Barred because it has the most unrealistic scene in any movie: Tiny Lister beating Stan Hansen in a fight.
Riki Oh is glorious, as well.
I will have to add one that hasn't been mentioned: See No Evil. Seriously, A chick screamed "Let Me Go!" while she was hanging 15 stories up by a rope in the clutches of the killer. I was watching this thinking "You can't be this fucking stupid!" Then going "Let her Go! Let her go! Let her Go!" And cheering when it happened.

"Repo Jake"
With a title like that you know it's going to be good.
Dan Haggarty of Grizzly Adams fame stars as an overweight, sweaty badass who repossesses your shit if you fall behind in payment or just piss him off.
I own it and I consider it an exercise in how not to make a movie. There's a scene where he throws a guy through a window, it cuts and magically the window has grown back only now it has tape down the cracks.
Genius.

Anything made by Trouma
Seanny One Ball
02-21-2017, 01:25 PM
They are not unintentionally bad films. They are deliberately made as low budget cult films that give a huge wink to camera.
Troma is it's own entity entirely and their films are labours of love.
Troma films don't belong in this thread at all.

Troma has had a lot of hugely talented staff. James Gunn wrote Tromeo and Juliet for example.
They might be real life cartoons but the Troma films hold up brilliantly.

It looks a lot like the sort of thing you see Eric Balfour appear in for his pocket money.
