Any idea why they switched shows?

My guess is they just felt Roberts had a better voice and should be on the B brand instead of the C.

So it's a slap in the face to Chimel, right?

I was always a fan of David Penzer's work myself. What's he doing nowadays?

HA! I guess now everybody knows how much I watch TNA. I might catch a show sometime tho, Penzer's golden tones take me back to a time with lots of NWO Members and Luchadores.

I think any announcer is gold compared to Lilian Garcia.

Why do they keep her around? She fucks up constantly.

You could almost make a drinking game out of it. And let's face it, you have to be pretty drunk to watch WWE's product now-a-days.

If you're going to bump threads, don't post lies.

He kinda has a point though. There is no way Lillian is better than Roberts OR Chimel.

Anyone who places Fink anywhere but the top has their list automatically void.

Lillian isn't that bad.

There's no argument, at least there shouldn't be, that Fink is number one. I'm just saying that of him, Chimel, Roberts and Garcia, Lillian is number four. People may disagree, but I think she is at the bottom of that list.

Nobody compares to Fink because nobody announces a new champion nearly as well.

Especially when it's not an obvious finish and there's a longer than normal pause.

That's what I was getting at. It was the BEST. I loved when there'd be ambiguity over the finish and he'd do the pause. The crowd would mark out or collectively groan depending on what it was.

Even intros are better. As in:
THE FOLLOWING CONNNTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR ONNNE FALLL!!! INTRODUCING FIRST, COMING DOWN THE AISLE...THE BROOKLYN BRAWWWWLER!!!"

And BAM, you're booing the hell out of Brooklyn Brawler.

Also had to love his feud with Harvey Wippleman, and how he'd introduce him "Doctor... Harvey...Wipplem- inadvertently interrupted by Wippleman. Good stuff.

Wasn't Fink the original, or at least one of the first, Jerichoholics?

Didn't Chris give Fink to Curtis Hughes as a present?

The Fink/Jericho stuff at the beginning of Jericho's run was priceless. It was really similar to all his WCW stuff, and he was so over they pushed him past that and it changed.

Robert has got a lot of passion for what he does.

I think they keep Lillian around so they don't have to pay anyone else to come in to the PPVs and sing "America the Beautiful". :shifty:

She's also "not horrible to look at." Not my preference, mind you, but I can see where some people could find her attractive.

I still miss Michael Buffer. At least, I miss the Michael Buffer who's not parodying Michael Buffer.

Fink > Roberts > Chimel > Lilian

The above post wins it. Tony Chimel is apparently a really cool dude. For some reason, he is mad over in New Zealand. That being said, his voice just isn't as great as The Fink's or Roberts'.

Apparently Roberts was such a fan of Mr. Perfect that he trained to be a referee just so he could tour with him, or something? That's a man with good taste there. He's apparently a really nice dude, too. He's got the best voice out of the current three ring announcers, and should probably be on RAW.

Lilian Garcia is pretty horrible. She makes a lot of slip-ups, and just isn't as fantastic as she should be. If they want to keep her around to sing on PPVs and stuff, awesome. She could also record some theme songs for some wrestlers, I guess. She's just a horrible announcer.

Howard Finkel is the greatest ever, though. I miss him so much. When was the last time he actually did announce a match? He should still do the introductions for the Royal Rumble Match, the "Welcome to WrestleMania!" shtick, and do the ring announcing for the WrestleMania main event. Has he been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet? I definitely think he should go in very soon.

With Superstars coming back, I hope he gets to do the ring announcing for that.
