Anyone got it? I'm not enjoying it as much as AW:DS, but it's fun enough.

Yeah, I was looking to find some feedback on this before I consider buying. Then again, I haven't even gotten around to the first one. Damn these arms of mine; I'm done with school finally, but can't play for long periods.

I've been in a similar boat to you. The plus side is I didn't come close to death or anything, but I've been plagued by dizziness when I play games for extended periods of times. Or most anything that required me to be vertical. all I wanted to do was sleep and puke.
Anyway, here's the skinny: Play Advance Wars: Dual Strike first. While it's missing some things it'd be nice to see, it's the more fun game. Well, if you can get over the main character being an annoying little wigger....
If you like DS, you should consider DoR. It has a ton of maps on it, it has WiFi play, and you can download Maps other people have made. However, if you don't like DS, more maps probably won't help.
The game is still fun, but it's no DS. It has fewer characters, a limited reason to replay campaign once you beat it, no hard mode, and limited CO use. The graphics also seem kind of drab in the Post-Apocalyptic style that completely contrasts with the bright cartoony graphics from the last game.

Every review I read for the game just mentioned that it's a little different from Dual Strike, but didn't actually mention anything about the game. So I had to read/watch reviews on Dual Strike to know what Days of Ruin is like.

Fairly accurate.
