It might be only a matter of time and it might be long overdue but how would you book it?

Of course, it could be said that sending Cena into WM would automatically make him hated but that's not what I mean here. Or hur.

Anyway, I've always said that if the WWE was going to turn Cena heel that they needed him to turn on a face. On RAW, that could be, among others, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, Triple H or HBK. Suppose it's Hardy.

Suppose Cena is the WWE champion this year around June and suppose Hardy wins the MITB at WM 24. So this means Jeff will have a chance at a WWE Title match at any time.

Now assume that Cena and Jeff are in a tag team match in the main event versus 2 heels. They win the match and start a bond together. They continue to tag with eachother. Jeff is still clinging to that MITB briefcase and on a RAW show he cuts a promo on how he wants to cash in his MITB chance at Summerslam. Cena comes out and tries to talk him out of it saying that they are friends. But in the end Cena realizes this is a great chance for Hardy. So the match is set for Summerslam - John Cena defends the WWE Title versus Jeff Hardy.

They have a back and forth match at Summerslam and Hardy wins with a quick roll up. Cena is shocked as Hardy celebrates his win. John Cena grabs the belt from the ref and stares at Hardy. He hands the belt over to Hardy and gives him a hug and raises his hand. Hardy starts to celebrate with the title in his left hand, but Cena still has Hardys right hand. Next thing you know Cena pulls Hardy into him and gives him the FU. Cena goes ballistic and beats the hell out of Hardy. Cena grabs a chair and nails Hardy. Hardyis busted open. Cena looks irate. Hardy is on the ground as Cena throws the title on top of Hardy.

And so the new champion is laid out as the former champ and fan favorite is booed out of the building.

What you guys think?

I think the people that hate him now will like him when he turns heel and he will get cheered/booed either way.

Yea, I hadn't considered that but if he turns and gets cheered that'd be funny.
Still, then he could be like, "Yo, I don't need your approval." Still, people are so stupid they'd probably cheer even louder. I figure if he turns on someone that's really over with the people then he'd be seen as a heel. Turn him on Jericho in Canada and watch what happens.

I bet you're not even from Rhode Island are you? I want the truth!

Well, it's kind of moot. In WWE's eyes, Cena's the golden boy, and the fans are wrong. He's a solid merch seller, too. Actually, solid's an understatement.

Anyway, the issue isn't him being face or heel, regardless.

Let's just make him a bland tweener, who doesn't mind who the crowd cheers for as long as they're happy. Along with that he can also be viewed as the underdog, even after beating everyone on the roster at least once.

Now that's a ratings draw

The best way to turn John Cena, in my opinion, as well as keeping him hated and not make him cool by turning him, is this:

At No Way Out, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels start off the Elimination Chamber. They do their magic, and then Triple H comes in. Jeff Hardy is the next entrant, followed by JBL, and then finally Umaga. The Samoan Bulldozer kills everybody, but eventually they all gang up and eliminate him, with everyone piling on top of Umaga, making him the first to go.

JBL then goes for a Clothesline from Hell on Jericho, gets his arm kicked, and then takes a Codebreaker. He's gone. JBL attacks Jericho, and appears to take him out of the match, while Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Jeff Hardy fight. Shawn Michaels is eliminated via a Jeff Hardy Swanton Bomb, and Triple H then takes one and he's gone. It's down to Jeff Hardy and Jericho, with Jericho getting the Walls of Jericho, refusing to let go, and Hardy passing out after being in the move for several minutes. Chris Jericho is victorious, and heading to WrestleMania.

In the main event, John Cena makes Randy Orton submit to the STFU, and wins his fourth WWE Championship. This re-sparks the rivalry between Cena and Jericho, which dates back to 2002, where Cena handed Jericho an embarrassing loss on PPV before he had even won his first championship and Jericho had been a three-time World Champion, goes through to when Cena got Jericho fired, and now continues with Cena getting a clean submission and Jericho needing Hardy to pass out.

WrestleMania sees Jericho and Cena work a surprisingly good match, even for them, with Jericho actually managing to get Cena in the Walls of Jericho while the referee is down, and Cena is in the move for ages, and even taps with no referee. Eventually, a masked and cloaked figure comes out, and sits at ringside. Jericho goes for a Lionsault, but the masked figure cracks a steel chair over Jericho's head as he goes for the springboard, and the masked figure reveals themselves to be none other than Vince McMahon.

It's sort of like the Austin/McMahon heel turn, but the motivation is a lot different here: Vince is helping out Cena not because Cena sold his soul, or because Cena has decided to drop the fight; but because Cena is his top merchandise seller, and he's Vince's golden boy. Vince takes off his cloak at WrestleMania to reveal he is wearing John Cena merchandise, and he dances to John Cena's music when the WWE Champion retains.

On RAW, Vince announces that he is dumping Hornswoggle as his son, and his new son, the boy who will be receiving all his paternal love will be John Cena. He even goes as far as to name John Cena heir to the WWE.

Cena remains exactly the same. He has the same lame catchphrases, he has the same lame offence. He is just meant to be booed now, so it seems less ridiculous that he fails to draw. Cena and Jericho continue their feud, maybe even leading to a Hell in a Cell between the two, were Jericho finally captures the WWE Championship, and an elusive win over John Cena.

Yeah Vince is a businessman before he is a promoter. And cena would never have gotten booed in the first place if they would have just stuck with the ant-hero type character he was when he first turned face.

No, he's not. Everything Vince has done outside of professional wrestling has pretty much failed. The man only knows wrestling, and I'm not sure he knows that anymore.

If he were a businessman, he'd do what is good for business, and that would mean making money, getting PPVs and earning television ratings. He doesn't, though. He's a one-time great wrestling promoter.

Last time I cheered Cena was at Judgement Day against JBL- I Quit match. Cena would have been better off on smackdown.
