I was thinkin about the 3D motorcity machine guns match and I was wonderin did anyone really think that TNA would "get rid" of the X division already? I mean they could have been like the WWE and "combine" the roster for about 20 minutes then split everything back up outa no where but the Bubba Ray diet thing could be played soo well. Kinda how when Mark Henry was tryin to lose weight with D' Lo. The "trashbag" sweatsuits and the comedy between them. They could have Bubba Ray running on a treadmill in a sweat suit and D Von lookin sad at a bowl of carrot sticks while Johnny Devine sits next to them and eats a cheeseburger and milkshake and cheers them on. It's gonna be great to see them play this up well and I would like to see Bubba Ray ACTUALLY lose weight and become a better preformer.
....maybe if that works they can keep the feud goin and make Black Reign lose 50 pounds if he loses to Kaz again :naughty:

Didn't Bubba put down the X division non stop? Why the hell would he or Devon even care about holding that title after all these months of trash talking it? Also, why is Devine with them? I pretty much never miss Impact, but I still don't know why Devine is with Team 3D.... and I also don't know why they would allow him to hold that belt considering how much Bubba put down the division.

They didn't want to be X-Division Champion. They pretty much wanted to destroy it, and honestly, with the original stipulation (where only wrestlers 275lbs or under could compete in the X-Division) I was pretty certain destroying the division was the only way to go.
Johnny Devine was X-Division Champion, though, and I don't know why he wanted to be the Champion and then destroy the division. I guess he just wanted to be the last X-Division Champion ever, or something.
But yeah, it would not have surprised me in the slightest to see Team 3D & Johnny Devine win. Your hopes for Brother Ray slimming down and becoming a better performer are admirable and all, but I think it is more likely he will gain weight, TNA will put him on the scales, he'll magically weight only 269lbs (because it's a funny number!) and Brother Ray will come back bloated, and Vince Russo will think he's a GENIUS because he only cares about RATINGS.

Alternatively- Hypocracy? In my wrestling? It's more likely than you think.

Since Vince Russo decided it would be a good idea to have Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley betray that vision of the X-Division on Russo's own behalf. Then it became Team 3D needing to weight-in at 275lbs to compete, I believe.
Now Brother Devon seems to be getting the biggest singles push of his life because of it.
