Just have a question. I'm thinking of getting a Macbook or a Macbook Pro, since I'm into video editing, the general consensus is that Mac's are the best for that kind of stuff. My question is is the Macbook good enough for video editing that I don't have to get the Pro? Obviously the MBP'd be better, but would I be able to pass w/ a regular Macbook and not have it crash every five minutes?

Friends don't let friends buy a Mac.

I hate macs, they are shit, get a PC.
But if you are buying one, and if you've got the money, get the pro, it's better, especially the video card. Will age a bit better too.
I don't understand why Macs are so called "better" for some things. Isn't it just the same fucking thing as a PC minus the OS. :wtf:

This man is right. Nowadays, you can find softwares on PCs that will do the same thing as the "superior" Mac. But if you are going to do heavy editing, you need to get the Pro. Otherwise, you'll have issues. Not necessarily crashes, but the hardware's performance will make you want to pull your hair out.

In a perfect world, we'd all like to think this. I the 'really real world', there seems to be a huge difference between a Mac and a normal desktop PC. Alot of the program architecture makes it better for some applications, but then that same architecture makes it crap where a normal PC would flourish. based on preference, I would never wish a Mac on anyone EVER.
