http://www.wwe.com/worldwide/japan/japantour2008/meetgreet/

I'm horrible with taking photos from WWE.com and putting them up, but pics 4-6 clearly aren't fans to anyone whos seen New Japan. Cmon Tanahashi is the IWGP Champion, he could get a little credit from WWE.com.

To be fair, some guys was probably just given a bunch of photo’s and told to put captions on them.

Whilst I agree they should acknowledge new japan, at the same time, they would be considered compition when touring there, so why draw attention to it?

Yeah, well they are Japanese, they must be fans.

Who cares? I mean, we had to have it pointed out to us. Let alone the average WWE fan.

And nobody in there looks like a champion to me besides Ric Flair and Chris Jericho.

No WWE fan even knows who they, or New Japan is, who cares?

LOL Jeff Hardy looks like he should be the 'fan' in pic 6.

What Would Kevin Do?

I saw that and laughed. Personally, I think it'd make more sense to say something like "Former World Champions greet WWE stars." "Former IWGP champion shows Flair a great deal of respect." "Jeff Hardy and Tanahashi, wrestling's bright future from the east and west" etc. Call me crazy, but whether or not fans know them, mentioning that they're champions makes the WWE look more credible than "Hey, look, fans."

I think it would have been more respectful to say "WWE Superstars meet Japanese contemporaries" or something like that.

Or they actually could have used their names. "Ric Flair meets Yuji Nagata" for example.

I think they didn't acknowledge them because of their relationship with TNA.

I think they didn't acknowledge them because of their relationship with TNA.

This is probably accurate.

Jesus chill out man. There are people who like puro on the board. Hell, I'm a fan of Japanese wrestling and I knew who Nagata and Tanahishi were. But it's not that big of a deal. Doesn't really affect anything.

Oh and Inno, Shinsuke Nakamura is the IWGP Champion now. He won it at the Tokyo Dome show last month.

I'll write that down. I kinda follow puro, I just thought it was funny.
