So it's not really a new show or anything, but I find myself watching it a lot at nights when nothing else is on. Anyone a fan? I never really liked Cheers, but I always found this show to have some hilarious moments.

I didn't like it when it first came on. I've really gotten into it the past few years, though. It's definitely a good late night filler program.

Frasier >>> Friends

Some of the best farce comedy I've seen anywhere, ever. It kind of fell off towards the end but then most shows do. First few seasons were golden though.

Its one of the few high profile American sitcoms which actually lives upto its popularity. I think a lot of it lies in the chemistry between the actors, Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce in particular are just amazing together.

lol NO WAY.

That's crazy considering there's no way we could have be watching the same episode in different countries. It's just always the first scene that comes to mind when I think of Frasier.

Yeah, seriously. That was the ep on last night. I didn't even need to play the video; the shot of Niles holding his hand above his head was enough.

Though they have like four episodes on a night, so it increases the chances. TV 38 out of Boston has an hour (They used to be UPN, I don't know what network they are now) and then Lifetime (TV for women... ) has an hour on, too.

i love frasier. also love cheers but i think that lost something after diane left. kirsty alley wasn't really the same and the show took a different and kind of annoying turn. at least up to season 8, which is all that the dvd's have been released up to.

It really was one of the smartest shows on TV. I mean, being the most intelligent sitcom isn't exactly a strong superlative, but it was able to appeal broadly and work on so many levels that it really does deserve recognition.

One of my fave episodes is the one where Marty gets Frasier, Niles, and Daphne in the RV and they cross the border to Canada. Of course, Daphne's not supposed to leave thee country, so they have to "sneak" her back. And at the end, Frasier and Marty plan to tell them they went down to Mexico while they were sleeping. :D

Possibly my favourite scene ever is in the first season where Frasier starts dating the ex-girlfriend of Bruno Kirby's cameo caller, Niles walks into the coffee shop seeing Frasier and her kissing goodbye and gets that :-O face he does so well on, the two then engage in a schoolboyish bit of banter about whether or not he and her have had sex yet, just makes me cry with laughter for some reason:D

Isn't that the episode where Niles is listening to Frasier's show later on, and rear ends another car? I loved the "By the way, here's the bill" bit.

He is listening to the show later on but doesn't rear end a car, he hears Frasier advising Bruno Kirby's caller to move on etc etc and Niles questions his ethics, then when it comes for Frasier and the hot woman to get down and dirty he gets sick in his stomach and can't do it

Must have been another one. I know how the episode goes otherwise.

I do believe they're all available in the States, but I only own up to five. And I only own four and five because my Mom bought them for my brother, and he already had them. Free DVDs? Sweet.
