Thats was fantastic. I love how they run from the ring after the combo hits. Fantastic stuff and hats off to WWE for making that happen

I think one guy got trampled under Big Show's feet.

02-18-2008, 05:11 PM
Show must have been at least somewhat pissed. Did you see how fast he got out of that ring?

Londoner
02-18-2008, 05:16 PM
Yeah he looked seriously pissed off.

Be interesting to see what happens tonight if theyre both gonna be there. Just hope show gets brought to the raw roster, havn't watched smackdown in years and ecw ever since it got wwe'ified.

No way that was a shoot

The punches were stiff, but if he wanted to Floyd could of knocked him the fuck out.

Show has been doing boxing training, so I would asume he'd actually find it quite cool to take a few shots from Mayweather

Plus show is the best actor they have, so I think this whole thing went as planned

Lock Jaw

Show should have done a combo-breaker.

I somehow doubt that. He may be a boxer but i think thats asking too much for someone of his size.

That ruled. It was hard to get an understanding of what happened just from the notes I had read, but seeing it in action was cool. Everything totally worked, Big Show did everything right, Rey sold crippled and weak well (lol), Mayweather looked extremely pissed. Shane coming out was both very teaseful and rubber stamped the idea that this was a live fuck-up and Show was truly pissed off.

I can't see anything about this idea going wrong . . . and I love the shit out of Big Show. This is cool.

You honestly don't think that if one of the greatest boxers of all time had 3 clear shots he couldn't of KO'd him?

Momma said knock you out!

And you honestly think size and how much the punches would affect a much larger man don't factor into this?

Dude, he could easily knock big show out. He could knock a cow out if given three good punches. He held back somewhat at least.

Big Show should get ricky hatton and we could have hatton/big show v mayweather and someone else. lol

Doesn't matter how big you are, if you know how to hit a guy and where to hit them you could fuck them up with ease.

You've never ever seen a smaller guy knock out a bigger man, ever?

Too bad that wasn't the case for Ricky hatton.

The Optimist

I understand how he could imagine that it would be tougher since Show is HUGE and Mayweather isn't even average, but Mayweather is a high-level professional and it was a free punch. If momma said knock him out then Show would have been down immediately.

I have yeah but i doubt theres many examples where the size differential is as extreme as this.

I'll grant you that, but everyone has a sweet spot, you see it in MMA all the time, catch them on the button on the chin and they are fucked, doesn't matter how big you are, you can't take that kind of punch

Dave Youell

The Optimist

And again, being honest. It was a free shot, that was available for about four seconds. If he was really being serious, if he really really wanted to actually knock him out he would have about three to four punches. In a real fight, especially since Show apparently has boxing "experience" now, I might take Show (that might be pretty stupid) but for an open shot right to the face for four seconds, Mayweather pwns.

I'd have to screw around in Photoshop for days to get Floyd Mayweather to look like a Tonberry.

Or Destroyman.

That is a reaction. No one in the WWE really gets that kind of reaction anymore. I just hope he uses his ECW theme, as that version kicked ass.

Big Show is a proven draw (not on the scale of Austin/Rock/Hogan, mind you), so if this is used to promote him, get him into the public eye, and turn him into one of the WWE's focus attractions, I'm all for it.

Plus Big Show is in pretty decent shape too. Also Undertaker got announced as being 299lbs if so hasn't he lost a lot of weight too? Then again lillian also said that the winner of the match would be the winner of the match.

DaVe
02-18-2008, 08:13 PM
Taker has been 299lbs for a while, actually. He was 305lb from about 03 to 07, then 07 to 08 it has been 297 and in recent times 299. Muscle wise he is a lot smaller than around 1999.

I just hope he uses his ECW theme, as that version kicked ass.

Yep, he did, and yes it does.

That was pretty awesome, not watched any wrestling in ages but yeah, good shit:y:

And yeah Mayweather could knock Show out if given half a chance, show might be big but that doesn't mean he's got a great chin, not to mention he is far too big to be a boxer, no speed and thus no explosive power, strength and size aren't as important as you'd think.

But thats not really important as it kicked ass either way, and props to the Show for letting Floyd tag him like that, although I doubt he gave it his all, that'd just be a little dangerous!

Jura

Just watched it again. Floyd looks like a 15 year old kid with all the other dudes in there. The first punch was direct to the nose with the knuckles and the other two connected with the back of his hand or wrist.

That was the best segment they've had in a year.

Amazing.

Show is the fucking man as always.
