"So now Hogan has another challenger in mind, somebody he's made bleed in the circle before: "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. As it happens, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon recently sent down the mandate that the next match Flair loses will be his last — he will be forced to retire. Hulk says he's the man to derail Space Mountain and wants to do it at WrestleMania 23 in Orlando, Florida.
"They need a main event real bad," Hogan said. "When I think about Ric Flair styling and profiling, when I think about Hulk Hogan going [head to head] with Ric Flair in my backyard, Florida ... I think that's where it's at. They got a lot of tickets, brother, that need to be sold. The power of the 'Mania, brother? Could be strong. Either he'll put me out for good, or I'll put him out for good. One or the other. That would be the match of the new millennium. Hogan vs. Flair. Maybe get Vince McMahon as a special guest referee. Me and Flair both hate Vince."

Has the rotation of the earth reversed?

Honestly, that would be the best outcome here (assuming they really never would wrestle again).

Yeah too bad WM23 was last year eh? I don't want Hogan to retire Flair but I know the crowd will go crazy for it. Maybe Austin should retire Hogan since Hogan keeps coming back every year.

Yeah too bad WM23 was last year eh?

Well, considering this is from a guy who said he pressed the 5000 pound Andre the Giant over his head and that Shawn screwed Bret at WrestleMania 16, I wouldn't doubt he was just blabbering.

I wouldn't mind seeing this match. Legend v Legend. Only thing is who would they have win? It is a dream match that everyone would want both guys to win.

yea, that was my point before. when they worked together back in 92, it was always a double DQ, double countout, double this, double that. Nobody ever one. Like Xero said, that finish would probably be the most probable.

That is exactly what Hulk Hogan needs to finally get over to end Ric Flair's career.

I fucking hate Hogan and his need to be at every Mania and win every Mania even though he has retired.

Good thing for WWE, they'll not only sell out all those tickets but also get a huge buyrate, with or without Hogan.

It's a good thing they already have two World Title matches.

Yeah, don't use Flair last match as an oppertunity to over and cement a young new heel or anything, Hogan needs the win so he can still be over when he makes his 276th return to wreslting at the age of 72.

Lets at least be honest...niether one of the title matches is something to get excited over.

I am pretty confident when I say that THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT FLAIR WOULD WANT, OR AGREE TO, HIS LAST MATCH BEING AGAINST HOGAN.

Never gonna happen (thankfully).

Wow Hogan going into business for himself, who'd ever think that would happen?

hey remember they had a match in 2002 on RAW

I STILL REMEMBER

But yeah, this match shouldn't be for Flair's career, totally pointless.

Yeah really they seem to be really boring this year compared to other WrestleManias.

It would honestly make me more excited than any of the World Title Matches. Triple H and The Undertaker think they are draws, whereas even though Hogan is delusional, he can at least back up the claim.

If the match happened, Ric Flair should definitely go over. Of course, Hogan would find out about this, and claim a leg injury. If that was the case, you just have Flair win the match via forfeit (screwing Hogan over, and banishing him from the WWE forever), with Flair shooting on how Hogan was just a politician and never the Real World Champion, WOOOO!

Then you just march out someone like Shawn Michaels to have a classic with Ric Flair, and Flair wins his second match of the night when HBK's originally scheduled WrestleMania opponent costs him the match, upset at being shafted.

Yeah, and it was fucking horrible. And now, 6 years later, they want to do it again at the biggest PPV of the year? No thanks.
