What does everybody think of the bidding wars for the players?

I wonder if the prices would have been the same if it was being held a different country, because IMO there were alot of Indians who were well overpaid if you compare them to other cricketers.

MS Dhoni is nowhere near the most valuable cricketer in the world, and other Indians like Tiwary ($740k - who the fuck is he?), Gambhir ($793k), Sharma ($821k), Pathan ($1.01m)& RP Singh ($950k) were all rediculously overpriced.

I was really surprised that players such as Vaas ($217k), Malinga ($380k), Ntini ($215k), Ponting ($436k - altho he is in terrible form atm), Akhtar ($464k) and Styris ($190k - hahaha he's not that good, but still worth more compared to what everybody else was getting) weren't picked up for more.

I'll try to find a site that has everybody's value on it, I just got those figures from the local paper.

I think its a joke, and had it been done anywhetre else in the worl, you'll find the prices would have been halved.

And, as far as im aware, Tiwary is a player at the U19 world cup, playing for india.

The fact that the indian players all recieved high prices was probably due to the fact that its an Indian league. Had the auction been in Aus, then aussie players would have been tops, in England, then english players would have been tops. Just goes to show local favoritism.

Also, below is a link to the list of players and the value they all received in the auction
