While there is a bit of buzz about wrestlers vs. celebrities

Kane vs. Pete Rose...what happened to it? I didn't really watch wrestling at this point in time, but on the DVDs and tapes I've watched, it seems that Kane and Pete Rose had a bit of a Wile E. Coyote thing going on. I never really got the story behind it, so if someone wants, they can fill me in.

What I really wanted to discuss, though, is how I would probably mark out just a little bit, in the most ridiculous way, if Pete Rose attacked Kane during a match with a baseball bat (let's just assume Kane's in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match). Then Pete Rose think he has taken care of Kane, comes out a bit later (or immediately after the match), and lays out a challenge to Kane, expecting to win by forfeit. Kane basically shrugs off the baseball bat attack, though, Pete Rose shits himself, and gets yet another Tombstone at WrestleMania. And Kane can win the match, and get a moment of his own at Mania XXIV.

Just a random suggestion. No deep philosophical thought behind it.

They just stopped it. Or rather discontinued it. I don't think that there was any problem with it or anything if you were wondering.

The fued started at a Wrestlemania in Cincinnati if I remember correctly, that had Pete Rose on it, suprise. They talked to him about being Pete Rose and his baseball career and the fact that his Reds were called The Big Red Machine back in the day. He took a potshot at Kane, who was pretty new at the time and ofcourse used the nickname himself. Kane came out and beat his ass. Rinse and repeat for about four years until they got tired of it.

It was a bit more entertaining than I explained, but that was the jist.

Didn't they use him for a promo video for a PPV around halloween? If I remember rightly, some kids knocked on Pete's door, and he yelled at them, and the door goes again and its half mask Kane, and scares the crap outta Pete. Or something.

Yeah, not at all. Especially now, even though Kane remains over, he really isn't worth anything on the card because of how he has been treated. Feeding him comedy garbage with Pete Rose will do him no favours, and has no effect on anything.

Therefore expect Rose to be at Mania.

There's no real point in continuing it, but is there any point to anything the WWE does these days? Pete Rose coming in, getting Chokeslammed, it could be more fun than say...Kane getting squashed by Khali.
