What event was it where Mr. Perfect just stood outside the ring, on the apron, during an entire Battle Royal and then went in at the last minute for the elimination and the win? It's one of my earlier memories of the WWF, and one of my all-time favorite matches, for that reason. What event was it?

lol, it's funny it's one of your all-time fav matches and you don't know what match it was.

I could be wrong here, but the only TV Battle Royal I remember Perfect winning happened around '91 in a Saturday Night Main Event Match. You said it was one of your earlier memories, so it may be it. Check around the web for it.

It took me five seconds to type in "Mr. Perfect Battle Royal" into YouTube. I assume this is it.

Nice, never seen that before

I take it that is just prior to the 91 Rumble and explains the beef that Hogan and Tugboat had going in to it. Michaels was on fire in that match.

I think he did it again circa '93 or '94. They did a 40-man battle royal that Tatanka wound up winning (during his two-year win streak). There was a story on it in WWF Magazine. I may be mixing the two BRs together, but it seems like he did the same thing in this one.

Yes, it's one of my all-time favorite matches, but since I was like 10 at the time, it's not unusual for me to not remember the specifics.

I DO, however, remember the 2002 Royal Rumble, where 2 or 3 guys were trying to eliminate Perfect all at the same time, and he still took the time to spit out his gum and swat it with his hand. It was a hilarious site, but a great demonstration of his awesomeness.

And Xero, no, that's not it. Perfect was literally standing on the apron, watching the entire battle royal going on in front of him, not doing anything for at least 15-20 minutes. Then at the last minute he went in.

It was a brilliant strategy...

Or, should I say, the PERFECT strategy.

That's the sort of strategy that Brian Kendrick should use at Unforgiven, and should get him to capture the WWE Championship. :y::shifty:

Seriously, that kind of smart heel stuff makes me mark out.

I know Mr. Perfect defeated 19 other men including Tito Santana to win the IC Title on April 23, 1990 on an episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling which aired in May of the same year. Possibly?

I think what you meant to say was: "Thank you for bumping my thread with your similar viewpoint that Mr. Perfect is a fantastic heel."

Well, obviously. It was implied.
