came as quite a shock when i read it this afternoon.

When was the last all english match in the CL? has there ever been one?

Don't see why this shouldn't have its own thread, what with(and i'm not intending any offense) there being threads like '....win again' about other sports, just that normally we put that stuff in the Talk thread.

Also what with this being the first all English champions league match(there ya go Nick),it's a big story.

I would think Arsenal would win,but i would rather have seen those 2 both in the semi's with Milan and Real.

Yeah but this way its guaranteed there's an English team in the semis

I guess it is better in that sense, seeing as no-one got through to one last season, but i just think that, maybe other than AC Milan and Real Madrid, both Chelsea and Arsenal would've beaten any of the others.

Maybe not for Chelsea without Cudicini but you get the idea.

Well not really, what with there being a seperate Champions League thread, a seperate UEFA Cup thread, and a seperate Premiership thread :|

Yeah plus you need to realise that most of the people here are from the US/Canada, so the NHL and NFL etc will be more popular compared to the Premiership.

Also since the NHL plays every night, as opposed to every week :o

Ok then,i don't think its too big a deal though.

Seeing as no Chelsea or Arsenal fans have posted in here though,i guess you're right.:-\

Does anybody know where I can find out if that game will be available in the US?

*Posts here*

But yeah MMM is right, there is already a discussion about this game in the Champions League Thread.

Wengerland is also right, the yanks make topics for anything even slightly of any interest that happpens across the pond.

Damn yanks. But anyways, I reckon it will be closer than everyone thinks.
Chelsea are out to get some revenge on Arsenal after losing to them for about the 1,278th time in a row.

Yeah, Arsenal is gonna win it cleanly, then they will face Real and Arsenal will be ass wupped...I think Real will win the Cup this year. :-\

Real and Arsenal both won recent home games against Celta Vigo by a 2 goal margin, but in Real's case it was 4-2.I reckon Arsenal could easily score against them and their defense is good for a lot of the time.

Yeah it's basically gonna come down to how well the Real defence copes with Henry, Pires etc against how well the Arsenal defence copes with Los Galacticos. There won't be many 0-0s that's for sure...

Of course Chelsea could still win :$

I’m hoping for a fantastic two games from this quarter final. I hope we can nick a goal at Stamford Bridge and bring it back to Highbury and hammer them.

That ****er Duff is going to be a nightmare though…if they play him in his favoured position and he’s had a few more games.

Overall I think Arsenal will edge it 3-1. Chelsea have the makings of a phenomenal squad but I don’t think that the team spirit is as strong. Not helped by a top heavy squad and some baffling tactics and substitutions by Ranieri at times.
