Was pretty ROFLMAO..

It was alot "dirtier" than expected.. Andre 3000 was awesome in it.. It also had alot of former Office guest stars and a few regulars in it..

Ed Helms (Andy Bernard), Tim Meadows (Christian from The Client), David Koechner (Todd "Fudge" Packer),that guy from Mad TV who played Ban Franklin, etc..

It was pretty f'n good..

Well his movies are usually rated PG-13 and this one is R right? And I made a thread about this a while back. :wavesad:

I also want to see Mike Myer's new movie The Love Guru.

It looks retarded. It seems like Will play the same character in every movie and gets in fight with wild animals in every movies (usually bears). The only difference is that he is a figure skater, anchor man, basketball player or nascar driver. Maybe they are really funny, but they seem so repeative.

But if you liked it, good for you.

It was pretty average. On par with Blades of Glory, which was his weakest flick. There were a lot of kinda lol moments, but nothing that had me cracking up the way Anchorman or Talladega Nights did. The shtick is getting old. Also they really needed to cut back on the subplot with Monix and his ex, and replaced it with more Will Arnett.

Could not agree with you more. In fact, the phrase "and replaced it with more Will Arnett" can really apply to anything in life.

No real classic scenes, and nothing really brilliant, but the jive-turkey scene, even if not completely original or witty, came the closest. Will Arnett is great at pretty much anything he does, and if there's one upside to Will Ferrell's repetitive shtick, it's that it gives Will Arnett something to be awesome in. With this and Blades of Glory, he should be starting to look more and more familiar to people.

If that Arrested Development movie happens, as rumoured, BAM! I mean, come on!

Also, anything that gives Andy Richter work is alright with me.

Ferrell is one of those repetive comedians I can tolerate. I much prefer him to Adam Sandler, or Rob Schneider. His delivery is very specific, but he makes it work. He can get chuckles out of me, and his movies are fun to rehearse with friends. Nothing too offensive here, but nothing that will enlighten you, or nothing that you absolutely can't miss.

His two films that made me rofl the most were Anchorman and Old School, none of the others since have really struck the same chord imo

To be fair, in Old School, Ferrel had more of a supporting role as opposed to the lead. And he was a bit more believable as a human being. You know the guy that gets married and gets caught up in being a grown up before he is really ready and just does things for his wife only for things go pair shaped.

While in Anchor Man and the like, it is the same chacaracter in a different custom. It is like he is a hack improve actor at a local comedy club. If you only see one preformance/show it is funny, but if you see 2 or 3 of the same guy you realize no matter what scene and sitution he is in, it is forced into the same character/act.

BDC is on target here

Not only does he play the same character, his movies all have the same exact plot too. Terrible.

With every new Will Ferrell film my "love" for him dies.

I'm pretty much rehashing what's all ready been covered (a bit like Will Ferrell) but I'll say it anyway.

Anchorman is my favourite comedy film ever and it seems that it will not be bettered by a Will Ferrell film anytime soon. Taladaga Nights, Blades of Glory and now Semi-Pro have not lived up to that benchmark. In fact I don't see why Ferrell doesn't just bite the bullet and make Anchorman II. (Although that'd probly pale in comparison too.

I feel for anyone that has seen any of the 3 films above BUT hasn't seen Anchorman.

Anchorman sucks too, IMO

My problem with anchorman was I'd heard every line repeated like 50 times before I even saw it, I think its good though. I like Old School best in terms of films with him in though, also Stifler's cameo in that is amazing, like just perfect.

Jive Turkey moment was easily the best scene in the film. Just when everyone got real quiet. Amazing.

"Stranger than Fiction" and "Melinda and Melinda" do not have "the same plot" as you all keep suggesting. And both were extreamly awesome.

I'd like for Will Ferrel to start playing more of his Celebrity Jeopardy character

LOL Yeah..

I didn't realize everyone hated him so much.. Yeah his movies are stupid but kinda what I go into them wanting.. I like dumb comedies.. Nothing like Epic Movie or shit like that but movies like Anchorman or Elf.. Nothing beats smoking one and watching some Elf..

Also, Farrell can play different than this repetitive goofy sports character though.. Watch Stranger Than Fiction :y:..

He's definitely let himself become typecast like a slightly less crazy Jim Carrey

Yes, but I think those movies were not write around Will, but simply with Will cast as the lead. There is a difference between a Will Ferrel movie, and movie starring Will Ferrel.
