I was watching alot of old NWA/ECW videos the other day and I was thinking "you know, with this pool of talent you could make some amazing fueds." The one that really stuck out in my mind:

"Superstar" Steve Austin vs. "The Franchise" Shane Douglas - ECW.

Austin was amazing in ECW, His feud with the Sandman was really great. Douglas and Him exchanging words back and fourth would be epic, and they would put on a series of really great matches.

Big Show vs Andre the Giant

I mean, come on. That shit is WrestleMania main event epic.

WCW's Scott Stiener v WWF's first run of Ulitmate Warrior would have been epic for the promos. And the matches would have ended with someone hurt.

I will always maintain that Sting vs Raven in '98 WCW would've been absolute money.

I'll keep it to ones that really could of happened.

Nikita Koloff vs Hulk Hogan: Don't know exactly how close it was to happening, but Vince wanted Koloff to come in as a heel and feud with Hogan. would of been sweet

Andre vs Ric Flair: They've might of had a match or two somehwere, but I'm talking on the big stage

Bret Hart vs Ricky Steamboat: Bret was suppossed to work a program with him at some point, but it never happened. They had like 1 or 2 matches total together.

Road Warriors Vs British Bulldogs: Again a feud that was talked about, but the Warriros signed with Crockett.

Steve Austin Vs. Hogan: Austin wanted it to happen in WCW, but the bookers shot that down quick. too bad.

HBK vs Flair: both in thier prime. Like I mentioned before, they had one match on TV, but it was basically to tease the final straw with the Rockers breakup.

I personally always wanted to see John Cena with his heel white rapper gimmick feud with Matt Hardy, blazing along the path of Mattitude. Don't ask me why, but back in 2003, that was a rivalry that I really wanted to see develop.

The following feuds actually happened, but the timing is more the point here:

After WrestleMania X7, the WWE had a perfect feud waiting for Stone Cold Steve Austin in Triple H. I like that the WWE were pushing Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and even Kane at this time, but given that they hated each other, and that they had that awesome 3 Stages of Hell Match at No Way Out, which Triple H won, The Game blasting Austin with a sledgehammer after Austin and McMahon had dismantled The Rock in the Steel Cage would have been a great way to keep the Attitude era somewhat rolling along.

Triple H had lost to The Undertaker at WMX7, so he would have made a more immediate challenger to Austin, at say Backlash, where Stone Cold would have kept the title. Then you could have moved on to Triple H moving up for Judgment Day.

Another feud that would have been great, is a face Booker T coming in and feuding with Stone Cold Steve Austin. No real "Alliance" angle, just Booker T coming in as the WCW Champion, giving Austin a Bookend, with Shane backing Booker against Austin and Vince. Why did the WWE find the need to turn Booker T heel when the fans were so hot for him coming in?

I'm also actually rather annoyed the WWE has never done Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas as anything more serious. Haas did return and face Shelton a couple of times, but they were so great as a tag team, and could have had such great matches. Charlie Haas following Shelton Benjamin to ECW and getting revenge for being dumped as a partner would have made a great storyline for ECW, and they could have helped each other climb the ranks by having great matches.

Steve Austin vs CM Punk.
I think the promos would have been epic. You have this blue collar beer drinking redneck as a face and the drug free CM Punk. Hell, it could be Punk and the Second City Saints vs Steve Austin.

Sting v. Taker

Always wanted to see the 2 personalities go at it, the segments of mind games could have been unreal. And the match would be pretty damn good I think

A better Taz/Kurt Angle feud would've been great. I really wished they would've done something with Taz after the alliance broke up. Hell, a good Taz/Stonecold feud would've been awesome. Instead of having Taz get whipped like a bitch, he could've choked Austin out. Hell, have him leave the alliance and do the path of rage throughout the whole alliance, building up to Stonecold. That would've been money.

They teased a Raven/Stonecold feud in the WWE, I would've liked to see Raven in some sort of meaningful feud in WWE. The promos would've been excellent.

Christian vs Eddie Guerrero would have been amazing for both the promos and matches.

Christian vs Benoit would have been great too. I know they had a match or two, but I'm talking a feud.

Sting vs Raven would have been great, but that never happened.

A healthy, prime Pillman with Stone Cold. Nothing could be better.

I always wanted to see a Brain Pillman and Christopher Daniels feud and match, well ever since I first saw the Fallen Angel that is which was like 5 years after Pillman died. I think their promo's against one another would have been good and there matches would have been great. After that though they should have tagged with eachother that'd be a great team and have them then feud with Edge & Christian... That would have been so sweet I can't even bare it.

Heel Punk vs. face Austin would be outstanding, especially for the promos/segments. The arrogant and straight edge Punk I think would be (well, would have been) a perfect foil for Stone Cold

When I was a kid, I always wanted The Undertaker to feud with Papa Shango. I recall they did wrestle each other once on colosseum home video, but I was hoping for a full feud.

Papa Shango against Hulk Hogan would have been cool too.

I also wished Taz from 1997 would have feuded with Stone Cold Steve Austin from 97'. The promos would have been intense.

I wish the Nation of Domination would have feuded longer with Stone Cold Steve Austin as well.

Face Roddy Piper vs. Heel Kurt Angle would have been entertaining and funny too.

Heel Honky Tonk Man vs. Heel John Cena

The Undertaker vs. Crow Sting

I also wish Piper and Jericho would have feuded more. I know they had a brief war of words, but I was hoping more would come from it.

And finally, heel Bret Hart from 1997 vs. Face Kurt Angle

i think a rock kane(masked) would have been a good feud, although these two did have matches with each other, they didnt really have a feud leading to a pay per view, at least i dont remembe.

Although I have no interest in seeing your feud, you are my new favourite poster on these forums strictly based on your username alone and therefore will pos rep you every time I see your name.

Unless of course you're talking about a Sambora other than Richie in which case you are still my 2,473rd favourite poster :)

The more I think about it, the more I'd really like to have seen a Mick Foley/Al Snow feud. The sheer contrast of their goofy-ass promos and their brutal matches would be pretty damn fun to watch.
