Rumors have been going around that there was some sort of altercation between Steve Austin and Billy Gunn at a bar at the Manhattan hotel where the WWE wrestlers are staying. That is currently all the information that we know, however, we should have more details available later.

I'm not sure about this, Steve Austin is obviously a violent drunk... but at the same time Billy Gunn comes across as a guy with a massive chip on his shoulder. So it's hard to feel able to immediately guess who was responsible.

I can only hope that Austin whooped his ass so bad that Gunn thinks he's making a comeback as the King of WrestleCrap, ROCKABILLY!!!

Billy Gunn is probably just still upset because Stone Cold didn't want to feud with him in 99.

Yeah, how could one of the most over guys in WWE history not want to feud with somebody of such main event status as Mr Ass...

Him being arrested for beating his wife kinda springs to mind

Oh right. Presuming a man guilty of a crime of which he was never convicted. Pronouncing a man a "violent drunk" based on one incident. How silly of me.

Beg your pardon? So they make all people who turn themselves in after assaulting their spouses undergo a period of forced sobriety do they?
-edit- K I can't find a direct quote to back that up although I'm sure I read it. Having said that saying he was never convicted kind of goes against him pleading a no contest in the case don't you think?

You can go here for plenty of arguments on the subject of why pleading no contest is neither an admission of guilt or a conviction.
And I still fail to see how a single incident makes someone "obviously a violent drunk."

Also, it should be noted that, with the beer he is "drinking," Bud Light, has a very LOW alcohol volume, and the way he drinks it on camera is such that much of it winds up running down his chin and all over his shirt.

The last couple of months Austin has been drinking Miller Light not Bud Light. :y:

Oops, oh well, same lack of Alcohol content. Then again, if it's not Heinken, it's not beer to me. :p

This news really doesn't make me care. But just because Austin may or may not have hit his wife once doesn't mean he's "obviously a violent drunk." It's like calling Kobe a serial rapist already. You can't just assume that without any evidence. That's just ignorance.

As long as one of them got their ass kicked and Kanyon comes back *like that'll ever happen :'( * I'm happy.

The fact that the court sentanced him to a number of conditions including not drinking for a period of not less than 12 months? Does he deny hitting Debra whilst drunk? No. Violent Drunk.

Some Wrestling website has a big list on altercations and they were really interesting, I wonder if anyone knows the website.
