But I am a pretty shitty guitar player. I taught myself, and I thought I was pretty good, until I met another guy that taught himself, and he makes me look like garbage holding a guitar. Just sitting there.. smelling.. trying to make music. Kinda depressing, not being able to master something like that after 7 years.
Comfort me. :wavesad:

I kick my self in the ass everyday when I watch my little brother shred on the guitar. I taught him how to play and was pretty good, but then I stopped playing after I had to sell my guitar and I kinda forgot stuff :(

I was never that good. I mean, my aspirations are not for shredding, mind, but I'd like to be able to play better than I do. My hands fully mirror each other, making it difficult to even play guitar in the first place. Stupid nervous system.
I mostly play folk style and power chords to compensate.

power chords are all you need. anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
that being said, i am the man at guitar and entirely self taught.
also i want a new guitar but i decided i'm gonna buy one then modify it and make the ugliest yet greatest guitar ever.

Some of us actually want some depth. You know, musicians.
