Dont know if this has already been posted...found this out a few days ago...

According to pwinsider.com and a few other wrestling websites...

Wrestlemania 25 will be held on April 5th 2008....in Houston Texas at Reliant Stadium. Last time Wrestlemania was in Houston was for the fan favorite Wrestlemania X-seven

I dont know if this is true or not but if it is that I cant wait to already get my tickets....I loved going to 17 and cant wait if this next one is gonna be here in town.

Cena vs Taker main event?

If Cena wins this year he's 5-0 at Wrestlemania I think.

I'd like to see HBK vs. Taker

Based on how great they worked in the Rumbles, it seems like they haven't lost a step since their feud in 97.

WWE should do a Wrestlemania here in the UK.

WWE should at least do a semi-decent PPV in the UK though

Have a PPV at Wembley Stadium, Summerslam would suffice.

Considering that the WWE is more popular around the world than it has ever been (arguably more popular and/or mainstream in some places than the US, too), it wouldn't be such a bad idea to do an important PPV outside of the US. I'm sure any sort of decent PPV would sell out, no matter how large the stadium is.

I am confident WWE could sell out Wembley Stadium, 90,000 capacity, but thats for footy so with a stage etc, it'd probably be 80'000...sell out still the same.

It would probably make more sense to have a PPV at Millenium Stadium instead. With it having a retractable roof you could have a PPV there any time of the year.

If they were to continue touring around Europe like they did last year, with the amount of shows they did, then I doubt they would sell out Wembley. Maybe if they were to not hold any house shows in Europe for at least a year propr to a PPV then perhaps it would sell out.

I thought the new wembley had a retractable roof as well?

More likely to be the 02 arena if it’s going to be anywhere, can’t see them gambling on not selling out a mania

Plus then there’s whole problem with the timings etc, does anyone know what business Summerslam 94 did that year in the US?

Can't find any details on Google to confirm if it has a retractable roof or not (the roof can cover all the seats in the stadium), I was on the assumption that it does not because I've never heard or read anywhere about it having a retractable roof.

From a marketing standpoint Wembley stadium would make sense with it being in London compared to Cardiff or any other city. But in terms of minimising on fuck-ups (weather and capacity wise) then Millenium Stadium would be better.

Wembley Stadium has a partial roof. When fully open, it looks like any other stadium, when fully closed, it covers every seat, but the pitch is still in the open. SummerSlam would be the best best, as the English weather would be shit for Mania.

Remember the rumours a few years ago about how the Royal Rumble may be held at Celtic Park? Now THAT would have been a disaster

I think WWE could do maybe get away with doing Vengeance or Unforgiven at Wembley as well as Summerslam because the weather should be ok around that time of year. Wouldn't want to take the chance personally, but then again Summerslam 1992 turned out really well.

If it isn't done yet, i'd like to see Cena v. MVP as the main event. The Cena/Taker could work as well tho :y:

WWE ratings in Britain have nose dived over the years for the record.
