The Wrestling Observer Newsletter says Mike Adamle is making $300,000 per year from WWE, or about $6,000 per show. That's about the same as the downside guarantee of a high-end mid carder, or the developmental contracts of 12 wrestlers from the indy scene.
Man, that much just to stand there for 30 seconds each week to intro the HOF inductee video? Sign me up for that job.
and he is shit at it too.

is it that guy for real? I remember watching him on RAW tripping over his lines

I was in attendance and for some reason I (along with the majority of the MSG crowd) missed that mess up! Damn NYC would have ripped him to shreds...

6,000 grand per show and the guy botches the name of the then main event player.

Maybe that's why Jeff went back to the drugs...

You may be on to something there.
Either that or Adamle knew Jeff was back on the drugs and said fuckit, this guy will be gone after 2 months anyway.

Did anybody catch No Way Out when he referred to WWE Title as WEF??

I'm not usually on to par-take in the bashing, but I don't think he's earning his keep. Has he even interviewed a wrestler yet?

I don't think he has interviewed anybody yet. Even with him messing up his lines, I'd take Mike Adamle any day over Todd Grisham.

I think I saw him on RAW this past week and he was fucking brutal

At least Todd can remember his lines.

I personally think Mike Adamle is hilarious. The guy might not intend to be, but that's how Maria's awesome "dumb chick" gimmick got started.
When Adamle was talking on RAW a few weeks back, he had a look on his face like "you can't seriously be getting me to read this? OK, I'll read it...bitch." It honestly entertained me more than a lot of other stuff on the show.
Mike Adamle should play an idiot heel interviewer who thinks he should be on NBC news, or something, but comes off as having no real skill whatsoever.

He has the job because he's known Edge for years

Well knowing this just makes me want to hate him, and i was being reluctant to criticise him so early on but now he's getting payed this much i think he's aload of fucking shit.

They could also turn him into a Larry Sweeney-type heel manager. His stable can be called "The Adamle Bombs."

Wouldn't mind seeing him as a manager, they should make him shockingly interfere in a match sometime, and then form a stable from there.

Jonathan Coachman was never really a threat to anyone, but when he turned heel, it gave him some level of worth. Since then he has turned into a good character. To the point where I'd rather see him standing around doing nothing than what he was actually employed to do, originally.
Adamle's Gladiators could give some guys some direction.

WWE loves to pay celebrities. They're not necessarily real celebrities, but whether they are or not, they get paid a good share for not doing much.

I think Mike "The Shakes" Adamle is great. Nobody makes me feel like I've got more potential than him. Some people look at professional wrestlers, and say, "Heck, anybody can do that!" Not I, sirs. I don't think you could really pay me enough to get my ass beat on national tv. But, I do think you could pay me enough to talk better for a 20 second spot and introduce a vignette. And if he's got the job -- regardless of the pay -- I'm sure, if I wanted, I could get that job, too.
Also, Todd Grisham, aside from speaking clearly, does an incredible Harry Carry. Shakes can hardly do himself.

I highly doubt that's true. Even if it is, he's not earning the money of a Kennedy or MVP when their bonuses are taken into account.
