As you may have read, there has been lots of rumors going around concerning Bret Hart and the possibility of him appearing at WrestleMania XX. Numerous reports have been released saying Hart was contacted by the company to appear, but wasn't interested at this time. In Hart's Calgary Sun column for this Sunday, he addresses his WrestleMania status.
"I'll be watching, but I won't be there. Let's just leave it at that, for now." Hart also wishes Chris Benoit good luck in what is considered the biggest match of his career.

Well, thats about ended the speculation about Bret appearing at Wrestlemania :( (if you did not know that already)
He'll still be there hitting HHH and Shawn Michaels with a chair and helping Benoit win the world title before reuniting the Hart Foundation

Yeah, it turns out that the whole "dead will rise again" thing has absolutely nothing to do with the Undertaker's old gimmick...

Bret "Gothic Hitman" Hart (and Soul). Has a nice ring to it.

Erm, yeah, reuniting the Hart Foundation. I'm guessing that you just mean the original tag-team of Bret and Jim "The useless waste of Space, Anvill" Neidhart.
It's pretty sad to think when you look back at the erm "Glory Days" of 1997 and the hart foundation stable.
Bret Hart-Got screwed, had a stroke.
Owen Hart-R.I.P
Davey Boy Smith-R.I.P
Brian Pillman- R.I.P
Jim Neidhart-Never had any talent anyway.

No, I meant bring back Pillman, Owen and Davey from beyond the grave. It was a joke!!!

If he is gonna make an appearence at XX, I doubt he'd admit it. This doesn't mean he's not gonna be there, i'd much prefer it to be a surprise than have it announced beforehand.
There's also rumors that dude is stayin' in a hotel in... NYC. An American and British tourist have "Spotted him." It's most likely garbage designed to mess with peoples' minds... whatever. We'll see what's up tomorow night.
:(
The "let's just leave it at that, for now," part of that sentence has me wondering.
Bret wouldn't come out and publicly say that he's going to be at WrestleMania XX. He'd want it to be a huge surprise. Besides, on RAW, wasn't Triple H calling himself the "Best there ever was"? Could be a bit of foreshadowing.
Of course, I'm just getting my hopes up. But still, you gotta wonder...

No, I meant bring back Pillman, Owen and Davey from beyond the grave.
And they can be managed by Paul Bearer, and they can feud with the reuniting DX.
I do love how linear some people are when buying into this shit.

I saw this same news post, which was later taken down, and asked Dave Meltzer about it. He said, "Check the headlines. Bret was in Calgary last night." By the 'Check the headlines' part I assume he means the headline about Bret's recent column about his WrestleMania status where he states he won't be there. I also just saw a post on another message board by someone apparently in New York stating that they saw Bret come out of a limo. Personally, although I would love to see it happen, I believe that Bret will not be at WrestleMania tomorrow night and that these sightings are made up.

I think I just saw Bret buying a steel chair down at the local hardware store down the street from me in New Rochelle, NY. Holy Crap.

Another update from Dave Meltzer via the WrestlingClassics message board:
"Not that this will convince anyone of anything, but his son Blade has a hockey playoff game tomorrow afternoon, and he's going to be at that game."

I think I'm going to have false hope anyway.
Fu</>ck it, I'm starting a rumour that is a blatant lie and saying Bret Hart is at Mania.
