I had a great idea for the WWE and someone that could work, IMO.

It starts off simple enough, with William Regal and Shawn Micheals. Micheals keeps getting the better of him until one week, they cut to the back. Paul London is down, unconscious and bleeding from the mouth. Next week Kendrick does an interview saying he'll find out who it is before a commercial break. After the break, he's found by the trainers, also unconscious and bleeding from the mouth.

All the while this is going on, Regal tells HBK that he has a surprise of some sort for HBK. Then Shawn has a match with Trevor Murdoch and, to muddy the waters, after the match, they find Lance Cade in the same state. Murdoch is clearly upset that someone messed up his tag team partner, but oddly, Micheals is also concerned. An interview the next week, and HBK talks about his school, TWA, and some of the students. He then talks about one who was so preoccupied with being the best, that he hurt some of the kids. He eventually kicked him out. He then reveals that Kendrick and Cade were former students of his. He wonders aloud if the mystery attacker was that vicious young man. Regal then taunts him saying that he'll learn later tonight, as his surprise will be making his debut, against Trevor Murdoch.

Murdoch comes out, ready for his match, and out comes Regal, by himself. He says that he will be very familiar with his opponent, as Cade got to know him very well last week, showing a quick recap of the unconscious Cade. Trevor drops a brief promo about how he's gonna teach the guy a lesson. Then Regal brings him out: Bryan Danielson. Danielson more or less wipes the mat with Murdoch then gets ready to put him away. He lifts up Trevor's arms, then gives him a sinister look before the stomps to the head commence. Murdoch is unable to defend himself, and the ref stops the match for fear of his safety.

Out comes Micheals, who reveals that Danielson WAS the rogue student and tries to reason with him, only to get beaten down my Regal and his charge. Next week, there's a lengthy segment with Regal talking about how he met Danielson a long time ago and saw his anger, but also saw his desire to be the best in the world. So he trained him to get in just that position. And Danielson's first step, as it turns out, is to destroy the man who he feels abandoned him. Bryan's mic work will be limited, as it should be. He's gonna declare himself the best wrestler in the world and prove it to Micheals. From there, it's Regal as the mouthpiece for him.

The only real kink in the idea is if Danielson is a heel in his own right or if he's merely a heel by proxy with Regal.

That sounds really awesome, man. Good work. You're right, it has no chance of happening, but it would be great.

Bryan Danielson vs. Shawn Michaels? Can't go wrong with it. William Regal would also make a fantastic mouthpiece for him. The only possible change I would make to your idea, is to maybe expand it to include some other guys.

One of the best ideas for retiring Ric Flair I have heard involved CM Punk casually strolling down to ringside during his match against HBK at WrestleMania, and then attacking HBK, which gives Michaels the DQ win, which retires Flair. This creates issues between Punk and HBK, which can be how William Regal gets involved with Michaels. Regal could reveal that he helped trained CM Punk, and he brings him over to RAW to give him the chance to make a name for himself against HBK.

Maybe throw in Paul Burchill, as one could make a case for him being trained by Willliam Regal in kayfabe. William Regal, CM Punk, Paul Burchill & Bryan Danielson vs. Shawn Michaels, Lance Cade, Paul London & Brian Kendrick?

Retiring RIC FUCKING FLAIR on a DQ is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. He doesn't need some bullshit angle. He needs to go out on his back with some class. You don't need a twist for the sake of having a twist M. Night.

Kai thats a good idea if Dragon would ever go to WWE, chances are he won't though. He's way too small for them (only a buck 85 i think), and he likes to wrestle the long matches.

I do like the idea of acknowledging the students of HBK in some point. Have them rise up against him or something.

lol

and that's not "lol, flair doesn't need to go out with class" it's "lol, anywhere other than a wrestling forum that would be hilarious"

I didn't read the original post, I just wanted to propose that 'Kai adopt the personality of "Noidekai," and Devastate Faerun with his ninth level Val Venis.

If Danielson were bigger, in theory, he could wrestle WWE style. Most of his major moves aren't "dangerous". He'd never be able to bust out the regal-plex, and maybe not the diving headbutt or avalanche backdrop, but besides that, he'd be okay moveset wise. He wouldn't be able to work his normal style... He'd probably work a very Regal/Finlay esque style, which could work, especially if they build him up as having numerous, deadly finishers (Cattle Mutilation, The MMA elbows, rolling elbow, crossface chickenwing, his small package for cheap wins, etc.)

Unfortunately, it will NEVER happen, because he doesn't fit their idea of what a wrestler should be. He's a smaller pale white guy from Washington.

Oddly enough though, "supposedly," WWE was scouting him. I believe it was Foley who said that the E was checking him, Samoa Joe, and CM Punk all out. Nothing ever came of it though.

Small pale white guy, or as Nigel says a "albino clam-digging virgin"

Yeah, because when Flair "retires" he is really going to be gone for good.

The guy is going to be hanging around, and he'll probably be in quite a few matches. Flair going out with class would be putting a young guy over. Instead, he's probably going to give it to his friend, who will gain nothing.

That's why I like the idea so much. It leaves someone with something. There would be a stronger resolution for Flair down the line.
