View Full Version : Which vet would you like to see regain a title

There's alot of former champs that are just kinda jobbin in WWE today and what are some of the former champs you'd like to see regain the title?

Personally I would like to see Jim Duggan and Super Crazy win the tag titles or see duggan win an intercontenental or US title belt. He still entertains me on Heat and I think he has a US title run in him. Val Venis still looks impressive in my book and I think if he gets another push he could do very well. I hate to see former ECW stars like Ball Mahoney and Tommy Dreamer just kinda jobbing to some new guy every week. I think they need to give both of them that "hardcore" attitude again and have Balls do what he dose best which is be the big, crazy chair swinging freak. Then make Dreamer "the innovator of violence" again not just saying that he is.

The only belt I'd give Duggan is to the fucking face

Are you nuts. The only thing I would do is put the belts on Dreamer and Delaney in a strictly hardcore style tagteam they could get away with it, there match on ecw was unbelievable. Other than that you are crazy.

Jim Duggan? Seriously?

Val Venis I wouldn't mind so much, but beyond that, I really can't think of anybody else.

Way to make the tag titles look even weaker. Add Delaney to the 'why the fuck is this chump wrestling on my tv' list

I hate Jim Duggan's fucking blue shorts and his gay walk. I want to hit him in the head with his own 2x4.

Only Morley really to answer the question.

I'd say Stevie Richards, but he'd actually have to GAIN a title in order to re-gain one. Stupid bastards, he deserves so much more.

Shawn Michaels is the best worker in the company and should get the belt for a long reign. Ric Flair should have gotten one more short reign.

Tommy Dreamer with the ECW title.

No doubt, shawn michaels with the WWE championship. Hasnt held it since 2002, even though he has no doubt been their best wrestler from 2003-2008.

I thought Michaels didn't want to be champ because of the workload.

Tommy Dreamer for ECW champ.

I love the guys ethic and passion for the business and would mark hard for a short reign involving a Foley vs. Dreamer program.

Glad to see Val Venis getting multiple mentions. The man deserves a "thank you" title run or three. I'd like to see him win the IC Title again, the US Title at least once, and a WWE Title win just for his great work over the years.

Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards I agree with, too. Mick Foley is someone I'd like to see with gold again, believe it or not. I'd like to see Richards built up to win the ECW Championship. The same goes for Tommy Dreamer. Maybe a tag team title run for both guys, too. Fuck, stick them together and give them the WWE Tag Team Championship for a few months. Two runs with that, an ECW Title each, and bang. There you go.

I'd like to see Nunzio and Funaki win some belts, too. I'd like to see Funaki team with The Great Khali and win the WWE Tag Team Championship. I'd like to see Nunzio move to RAW, and maybe hold the World Tag Team Championship with Santino Marella, and get a solid IC Title run as part as a heel stable, or something.

The irony is that Stevie Richards has held 24 championships in major promotions. Granted, 22 of them were non-televised Hardcore Title wins. :p

Stevie does deserve a good run with something.

I would love to see Lance Storm come back to have a good run as ECW Champion. I think a program between him and CM Punk or Shelton Benjamin would be amazing.

I was thinking, just last week, that I'd like to have Nunzio get another tag titles run. But bring back Johnny Stamboli. I rteally liked that guy, and he and Nunz made a beautfully entertaining group. I was even going to write out a Noble/Palumbo vs. Nunzio/Stamboli theory, but I just don't have the Noid in me.

I dont know if you got the memo but Johnny Stamboli is an active member of the TNA roster.

If HBK isn't the best worker in the company, then who is? HBK can work the crowd in the ring or on the mic. He can have a classic rivalry and match with anybody in the damn world. He hasn't had a bad match since he returned in 2002. The bastard had a good match with Hulk Hogan!

Johnny Stamboli was pretty solid, if you ask me. It's a shame TNA has no idea how to handle his Rellik character, besides giving him a cool name (It's way better than "REDRUM", anyway).

Your post reminding me that Nunzio and Jamie Noble are meant to be cousins. Bring back that storyline. Chuck Palumbo is beating down Jamie Noble one week, and out comes Nunzio who voices his displeasure at what Palumbo is doing, and Palumbo takes orders. Nunzio reminds Palumbo that Noble is his cousin, and that if he continues to give him problems, then he'll make an enemy out of Nunzio. Palumbo then becomes the forced bodyguard, of sorts, to Jamie Noble.

Palumbo helps ensure that Nunzio & Noble win the WWE Tag Team Championship, and you have two great technically sound cruiserweights holding the belts. And all is right in the world. Temporarily, anyway.

You know what I just thought too, Michaels getting the IC belt in an unexpected semi-convoluted way, just to reintroduce the classic IC strap, would be sweet.

I know what you meant, I was just being technical. It was in my head, because I was thinking how it would make Richards look better if Joey Styles & Tazz hyped him up as chasing his 25th championship. Because quantity means more to the WWE than quality.

The Hardcore Championship is not seen by some as a real championship, anyway.

I know this is going to sound strange but I would kind of like to see Kane hold a championship belt of some sort, the last he held was a tag belt, but I highly doubt WWE will let him have a belt considering right now he is being mainly used as a jobber.

Kane is my second pick to win the ECW Championship at WrestleMania. Matt Hardy seems like the best guess at the moment, so I'll give you that.

Or give a small bag full of large bills to Molly Holly for another Women's title run.

They did, in fact I believe Edge and Mick Foley are still the co-holders of the belt.

Edit: only in that they gave them the title and never really wrote it out of storylines.

Kane should get a small run with some title, the ECW title would be best for him.

Matt Hardy needs a solid IC or US Title run.

Chris Jericho should have a World Heavyweight Title run.

Dreamer as ECW Champ would be the goods. But Dreamer is the type of guy who doesn't care about titles anyway.

First guy that came to my mind (even though he hasn't held a WWE title before) is Jerry 'The King' Lawler.

I could see Lawler as a heel with a long Intercontinental title reign, which he holds on to by hook or by crook, stealing wins and sneakily escaping losses with count outs and DQs (a la Honky Tonk Man in the 80s) until finally somebody unseats him at, say, a WrestleMania, therefore establishing the next big star.

It's a thought.

See, that would be okay, but then WWE would go and have J.R challenge Lawler for the title in a feud and win the title when some face helps J.R out.

Then we will have J.R IC champ.
