* In a non-PPV match, Davey Richards defeated Dingo with a Kimura submission

* In a non-PPV match, Sara del Rey defeated Kylie Pearce via a kick to the head

* Tyler Black defeated Delirious, Claudio Castagnoli and Go Shiozaki in a Four Way to earn a ROH title shot later tonight. The crowd was shocked by Black winning.

* Kevin Steen defeated Roderick Strong with a package piledriver.

* Ruckus & Jigsaw defeated BJ Whitmer & Adam Pearce when Jigsaw rolled up Whitmer. Eddie Kingston came over the railing and told Ruckus he had to decide whether he was with the Vulture Squad or BLK OUT, which sparked a brawl between Kingston's posse (BLK OUT members Sabian and Robby Mireno, both making their ROH debuts) and Jigsaw and Julius Smokes.

* The Briscoes defeated Joey Matthews & Jimmy Jacobs in a No Rules match after a Spike Jay Driller. Mark Briscoe was bleeding a ton and even did a dive into a splash off the entranceway. Josh sent word Mark is "certifiable".

* Bushwhacker Luke Williams pinned Shane Hagadorn in a non-PPV bout.

* On the Larry Sweeney Show, Sweeney announced he had purchased the contracts of the Hangmen 3. Erick Stevens comes out looking to challenge Daniel Puder (who popped up on the last PPV that aired). This leads to Brent Albright vs. Erick Stevens....

* Brent Albright defeated Erick Stevens. The Hangmen beat down Stevens. Whitmer grabbed the house mic and refused to go with Sweeney, so he was laid out with a spike piledriver on a chair.

* Bryan Danielson defeated Austin Aries with a high armbar submission in a really good match.

* ROH champ Nigel McGuinness defeated Tyler Black with the stretch armbar submission. Great match with Black kicking out everything you can think of before finally losing. Josh wrote, "Black became a made man here."

The show drew in the 1,200 range with some sections of the floor ten rows deep and all the buildings on both sides of the bleachers full.

The main event was apparently amazing. It's bizarre considering both Nigel McGuinness and Tyler Black are both heels, but that's what makes ROH different. I hope they get a television show soon.

Bushwhacker Luke... WTF?

What Would Kevin Do?

Yeah, I'm lost on that one too, but whatever. ROH tends to run little things with special guests they get ( Tammy Sytch/Lacey confrontation, Sammartino/Hero segment, etc.). Just something for the crowd I suppose.

Also, I'm pretty sure it was Necro Butcher and Joey Mathews, not Jimmy Jacobs.

Yeah, it was Joey Matthews. Sorry, I just lifted the report and forgot to replace the incorrectly reported name with the correct one.

Tyler Black getting some love = :y:

Guy is greatYeah, Tyler has been incredible as of late. I'm really glad RoH decided to start using him. Also this whole Blkout invasion could be incredible as well.

After reading the results yesterday I was very happy that BLK OUT is in ROH now. This finally gives the Vulture Squad a real purpose, other than a faction with no direction.

Loved the fact of Black winning the 4 way to get the shot at Nigel. Its fresh, plus it seems like the match delivered BIG TIME. And it saves us a nice slow build towards a Nigel Claudio feud, which should be great.

As for the SNS Inc. purchasing of the Hangm3n I like it, yet dislike it at the same time. My reasoning is pretty much based around Albright, since I'm a big mark for him. But I mean, he turns down Sweeney the night before, so you would think it would be him that decides not to join. Because I mean a loner role for Albright I think would be fine, plus if you want Sweeney to get heat put BJ in SNS instead. I think with beatdowns of a Face Whitmer is only going to garner cheers from the crowd since he is complete ass. On the flip side you have Albright on the same page with the best Mic in the indies at this time.

Have to see how it plays out though, I fully trust Gabe.

PPV seemed really badass. Can't wait to see it.

To follow up on my SNS thoughts....Just read the new newswire and looks like BJ could be done with the company after the beatdown.

Yeah, I read that newswire, and I wasn't sure whether or not it was an angle, or if BJ Whitmer is taking some time off/leaving the company for good. If he returns, he would make a great face to stand against Sweeney and co. It seems that turning Whitmer every couple of months is the only way to keep him nearly relevant.

Brent Albright and Larry Sweeney will make a good pair. Maybe they could have Chris Hero get jealous of the attention Sweeney is giving Albright, and have a bit of a rivalry break out between them? An Albright vs. Hero match would kick some serious ass.

Can't argue with that. Would love to see a Hero Albright match.

I'm torn about Whitmer... He's decent-ish in the ring, but let's be honest, he can't get over to save his life. HE got tons of attention in the CZW feud, and couldn't do anything with it afterwards. He got tons of attention through the Jimmy Jacobs feud, and couldn't do anything with it afterwards. Whitmer needs someone to carry him character-wise it seems, or he just drowns.

This is, for the most part, true-ish. To be fair to Whitmer, though, besides the CZW push, he hasn't really had one. His steam after the ROH/CZW thing ended was pretty much fueled entirely by his performance in that war. Then he joined The Hangman Three, and that hasn't benefited any of the guys involved in that faction.

You're correct, but I don't think Whitmer has exactly been given a golden platter of opportunities.

I'm also on the fence about him.

I mean for me, during the CZW war I actually thought Whitmer was good. I found his matches entertaining, and they kept me interested. Then after that and also the Jacobs feud, Whitmer was out of his relm. I think if he is not in a hardcore style match, he is nothing at all. Gabe booked to his biggest strength and it worked. Now its just seem like Whitmer doesn't really have a place.

If he were to leave, I wouldn't miss him.

I'll say.
If the match was actually on the PPV I'd get it. But alas.

I've never understood the hate Sabian gets. I've really found him enjoyable this past year in Chikara. I'm still hoping they do something with Joker though.

So many factions in ROH, but I guess the matches will be fun. I wish ROH would sort of resolve things with them, though.

I mean, I know they have the whole championship thing going on, but now that Aries has dissolved The Resilience, and pretty much conceded defeat, do they really need to officially be together? I like Larry Sweeney having a giant group that just keeps getting fed, and I guess The Age of the Fall still have their purpose, but hmm. It's still a bit of a mess.

ROH seems to have a habit of putting surprise people in title matches, and it somehow seems to work. I was at a show in September, where Erick Stevens won a 4way over Delirious, Roderick Strong and Kevin Steen to face Morishima, and they had a damn good match as well.

Heros Welcome

I like the way Gabe has been booking "surprise" winners for title matches. He is making more and more main event title contenders. He has got Steen on his way, Black is there and if not pretty damn close. Stevens is slowly but surely getting there. With the way talent gets swept away from him, he is doing the right thing.:y:

As for the factions, I have no problem at all with where they are right now. Sure it seemed like there were too many, but now the Hangmen are done, Resilence has been dead. Bringing BLK OUT in is very fine by me since it gives the VS a real purpose, NRC is still kickin ass, and having SNS INC. expanding is great. AoTF, though people seem to not care at all about them, I think Gabe is going to start booking them to be the top faction, even above the NRC. It will start when they beat MCMG in Detroit.
