HELP! I CANT ' SEE!

So yesterday I turned on my laptop, which was fine. Plugged in the power cord, cool. Plugged in my ethernet cable and BOOM my screen goes dim. Like I can barely see shit. Also, when I'm plugged in from my ethernet cord my internet won't work but when I use my wireless everything is fine (which is what I'm using now).

Did I do something to the screen or is it something else?

It's really hard to say whether it might be the screen or possibly the Video Card...although, why the Ethernet cable would cause this is a mystery...unless, it was just a freak coincidence that the screen went at the same time. Unfortunate, either way man.

I think it was just a coincedence as the ethernet is working fine now. :o

But I'm still stuck in the dark. Also, when my screen is turned on and my power cord is plugged in, a strange sound comes from where the plug goes in. Kind od a high pitch noise.

I dunno.

Sounds like the Power Supply might be going bad and might require a new one.
